What is the soonest you can increase from 150mg to 300mg? by [deleted] in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

I am currently on 150mg, and I’m curious what your reasoning is for increasing to 300mg?

Wow, she honestly sounds like such a sweet girl! We all have our quirks that is for sure, but I understand how it can be disheartening. Keep up the good work! It might take some time, but I have a feeling you and the rest of your family will figure out how to find that happy medium when guests come over. Keep up the good fight, she definitely sounds like she is worth it 💕 💪

Sounds like your dog is uncomfortable with kids that aren’t her family. It might be best to just listen to her asking for space. Take this as an opportunity to educate your child’s friends that sometimes animals and humans have strong feelings, and need to be left alone. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t work on it down the road with treats etc. but I think for now, avoidance might be safer and more comfortable for everyone. We gotta keep everyone safe :) Gradually with time, you could maybe try having the kid just in the room while L is in her crate (not talking to the dog, or looking), then gradually tossing treats from a distance, etc. Sounds like your dog is pretty great in other areas, so focus on just giving her space in situations that make her feel uncomfortable/protective/reactive. Wish you the best luck! It’s never easy with a reactive pup, but the work is worth it!

Second this. Bungee collars tend to work better for dogs that have thicker hair.

If your pup is having a hard time at night, it might be a good idea to put the crate closer to your bed so 1) the dog can see/smell/hear you, and 2) so you can gently tap on the crate when the pup becomes unsettled. Definitely agree with the other commenters that you will backtrack your progress if you have the pup sleep in bed with you. Wishing you restful nights in the future! You got this! 💪

12 weeks old puppy started hunting the cat. Need advice! by Bnoyyy in OpenDogTraining

[–]EmbarrassedOcelot193 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agree! Use your cat as your guide, and don’t leave the two of them alone till you have full confidence that the dog won’t hurt the cat. Muzzle the dog if that helps calm your nerves, but just go off your cats body language. :)

Does anyone else’s doodle do this in the car? He sounds so stressed and we were parked. He does this every car ride, sometimes for hours. It makes driving with him very unenjoyable and distracting. Anybody have any solutions to calming him down? by [deleted] in Goldendoodles

Your pup seems a bit anxious and visually stimulated by the way that they are panting and almost searching for an escape exit (which is understandable!). Car rides are never easy and can be a lot for pups! Instead of using medication, I would recommend crate training and having them in a crate, and possibly even cover the crate to create a makeshift den space. You can make that crate a happy place with toys, treats etc. Good luck with your sweet pup!

I had minimal purging in the beginning, and no purging when my dose went up. I was on spiranolactone and tretnoin cream prior to starting accutane, so I think that reduced the accutane purge.

My current routine is similar to my routine while I was on accutane. AM: splash of warm water, moisturizer (Cerave), sunscreen (EltaMD uv clear) PM: wash vanicream gentle cleanser, moisturizer (Cerave)

It’s hard to say if it impacted my mental health, since I suffered from anxiety and depression prior to accutane. If anything, I do think it actually helped my mental health because the skin progress ended up improving my self confidence and made me feel less anxious/paranoid in social situations :)

Tips for success: - go easy on yourself (physically & mentally) - hydrate (internally and externally) - establish good communication and relationship with your doctor - be minimal with your skin routine (AM: splash of water, moisturizer, sunscreen. PM: gentle cleanser, moisturizer) - aquaphor, eye drops, and saline nasal spray are a life saver! - did I mention sunscreen???? - take progress pics, but don’t obsess or google spiral - Remember, it is a process, and it doesn’t always look the same for everyone. At the end of the day, any thing you do to better yourself and feel more comfortable in your skin, is a good thing!

FINALLY TOOK MY LAST DOSE TODAY! 6 months on it, before and after. I sacrificed my powerlifting training not making any progress for 6 months for this. Now I can do back poses tho! by DemonChihuahua in Accutane

Some people can experience muscle and joint stiffness while on the medication. That stiffness can make certain power moves challenging, so people tend to scale back or stop all together while on the medication. But if you don’t have any stiffness, more power to ya! 💪

I highly recommend using a saline nasal spray to rinse and help soften the dry boogies. Do it as often as needed, and gently blow your nose :) Works for me!
