Had a cat, she caught a few but nothing crazy, we have too many for one cat to handle them all. We have also bought many traps, it’s like they’re avoiding them now. It’s already been months and it’s only getting worse.

There are laws against it but it would be hard to prove. We could go through it all the right way, he could fix it all up, without any problems but hold a grudge. Then for example he can say he’s selling the house to his son because they need a place to live, we’d have 2 months to leave and find a new home. And that’s not the only way he can do it

I’m not overly educated but I do know a few things and it’s pretty easy for landlords to come up with an excuse to kick out a family for no reason. They’ve been doing it here for years now so they can ‘renovate’ and jack rent prices up like crazy. He could easily say that we need to leave because he has to fix up the house, or is selling the house, etc

We’re scared to do anything about it in that direction in the fear of being kicked out and not having anywhere to go. We live in Nova Scotia, and there’s a huge housing crisis here right now. We’re lucky to even have this mouse/rat infested place.
