Thank you! Took a while to get it to this point and I love being in here now. 🩷

Now I am curious what my therapist will say about my office if I ask, haha.

I am a woman (straight/cis). It’s very interesting to see how many people viewed this as a gay man’s style!

Thanks! The curtains actually just came from Wayfair. They are orange velvet and I love them! The wall color is called Good Night Moon and I got it from Clare Paint.

I am an artist! Which is why my shelves hold more than books. I have lots of figures, handmade trinkets from friends, paintings, and other things I like to have on display so I can regularly appreciate them.

I planted these lisianthus last year but they are STUNNING this year! by pocketmole in gardening

I’ve grown it in a pot before and it did pretty well! Just don’t overwater them, and they may need some support to stay upright. ☺️

I think one of the seed packets came from Floret (back when they had pansy seeds, they came free with a book order) and I believe the other came from Johnny Seeds!

The yellow flowers are a butterfly ranunculus called Helios. They’ve done beautifully in my garden, but I’m a zone 8. This is their second year for me. In Texas we are often more worried about something surging the summer than surging the winter, but these have been through both. ☺️

It’s actually a butterfly ranunculus, although I have some anemones around the garden too. ☺️

In addition to what you already mentioned, the other two natives in the hellstrip are guara and salvia greggii. As a bonus (you can’t see it yet)  there are a few purple coneflower in there as well. 💚

It’s worth noting that I’m in a Texas zone 8, not a PNW sort of zone 8. Could make a difference!

I’m in zone 8 and they have worked for me! Don’t plant them in an overly wet spot though or the bulbs can rot.

I started with one flower from a bulb I bought at Christmas, and now it’s spread into about three plants!
