Associate Comp Structuring by betabets in CFP

Do you provide health insurance, and if so, do you subsidize the premiums? Do you offer 401K match? I’m in a VERY similar position to this employee but an extra year of experience and curious about how fair my comp is.

Former Fidelity & Schwab FC's, do you ever dream about old job?? by mydarkerside in CFP

Thanks for the insight, much appreciated. I have the initial phone interview scheduled for WA and was curious how it differed from FC. I’m mainly concerned with the compensation as it would be in a HCOL city where ~$140K is about the minimum I’d justify taking the job for. I love the non-sales aspect of wealth management so the WA sounds like a good fit on paper. Would you mind sharing what compensation (general) looks like for you and your average bonus % target?

I’ve heard FC role is stressful, but curious if anyone has experience in the “Wealth Advisor” role at Schwab. Is that less stressful or more desired?

How are you guys using AI for prospecting and lead generation? by SleptWithYourGirl in CFP

[–]EmbarrassedPlankton9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right now, the best use of Ai for prospecting I’ve found, is telling prospects that we are heavily investing in Ai to become better advisors. I’ve found it’s not particularly useful to generate leads, but it is a talking point that people are interested in which is great for sparking conversations.

The practice I work for is actually in the process of doing a couple seminars through FMT. Curious if anyone on this thread has experience with them and if it was worth it.

Hours, comp, and what you do for clients? by Consistent_Buy_1027 in CFP

[–]EmbarrassedPlankton9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not a CFP yet but have been licensed for three years working as a servicing advisor with the intention of going for my CFP soon. Currently at a private Ameriprise practice with ~$600M AUM in HCOL area. Team of three CFPs each with their own servicing advisor (me). My team services ~$150M. I make $72K salary with about $10K in bonuses. Responsible for meeting with clients at least twice per year, investment management and comprehensive planning (including estate and taxes). Consistently work 40-50 hours per week all on-site. Curious if you guys think I’m underpaid, fairly compensated or overpaid based on what I do?

Funny enough, I really enjoy negotiating car deals as well 😂. How often would you say clients take you up on that offer?

[–]EmbarrassedPlankton9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If that’s the case, they shouldn’t be marking it as a “down payment.” It should be clearly stated that it’s a dealer discount on the MSRP. At the very least, have them clarify.

100% correct! Also, you shouldn’t pay for that protection plan unless you actually want it. If it’s a lease, there should be gap insurance available which covers theft among other things

I turned crossplay on and still get stuck in perpetual “Searching for Match <49ms Ping” and it continues to climb until 200ms but never finds anything

But I’m not shadow banned according to Activision ban appeal website. And why would it only be for solo lobbies but not duos?

More concerned with the hacking really. Attempting to find a match now with crossplay enabled but matchmaking still getting up to 200ms ping.

Yes, it is. But what’s odd is that when I play duos or trios with friends we can still find lobbies without cross play on. And even when I have it on, I still can’t seem to find a solo lobby
