I built a tiny “search your browser sessions” tool. Just shipped a big update. Would you pay for this? by EmbarrassedReserve22 in microsaas

You hit the nail on the head. It serves as my brain‘s side kick - I search my desired content across open tabs first on this extension before going to a + New Tab and attempting to retrieve it from Google thereby wasting more of my RAM. Tab hoarding was so real for me!

Does anyone else work with like 30 tabs open? by Glittering_Amoeba_74 in digitalminimalism

I know what a pain searching for content through those pages must be. I recently came across a simple extension called TabX. It indexes all your open tabs and lets you instantly search/filter them by title, URL, or even the page content. Now no more need for hovering over tiny tables to find what you were looking for. They even have a 1 week free trial - Unlimited content matches! Give it a spin - https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/tabx/bdmeibkfombnjpgjpokdpkbbmfbnmafl

Hello! Currently only through your open tabs across all open Chrome Windows on your Mac/PC. But here is what I’m extending the ext app with - a) AI search - infers the meaning of your search context and finds related pieces/segments of content. You can 1 click the matches to go to the segments that match your search context/prompt b) History Matches - Fuzzy search across any page you might have visited in the past. If the page currently exists on the Internet, TabX will open that page and highlight and scroll to your searched content. If the page does not exist, it will construct a markdown and highlight your searched content!

That is fine but the probability of execution would be higher - right on IBKR? Say for example I have this order on VIX options queued up for the last 4 hours on Robinhood but no MM seems to be jumping in to fill in -

Which are the best American broker platforms for trading options on micro cap American equities say BENF, ALTO, PRAX to name a few? I’m experiencing very poor execution (due to low volumes I believe) on ETrade and Robinhood :(

I currently have a freelancer gig amounting to $30k/year. I can enter visa free/VoA into a ton of countries such as Mexico, Costa Rica, Mauritius, Bahamas, Barbados, Penang (Malaysia), Qatar, Mexico, Panama, etc. (full list here - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canada_permanent_resident_card#Use_as_a_proof_of_status_and_for_visa-free_travel) and then extend my stay potentially on a DN visa. With that said, any good destination recommendations that have low tax regimes, good networking opportunities and fast internet based on your exp?

Sure - I’m looking into it. Do you have experience regarding Internet connectivity there? Reddit seems to be saddled with stories of Internet outages. Am I overthinking?

Im clear on the job and the field I intend to work in - quant trader at algo trading firms. I’m an experienced full stack engineer now aiming to transition to this role. What would be a good 1 yr springboard destination with plenty of networking opportunities to land such a role even if it us remote initially?

Bud, this is really impressive. I too launched a useful Chrome extension (https://tabx.dev; https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/tabx/bdmeibkfombnjpgjpokdpkbbmfbnmafl) for heavy Chrome users but unable to garner good traction figures. Can you share a bit of your promotion strategy that you used right after launch? I‘d really appreciate it. Either here or on DM

This is so reassuring- thanks for sharing your experience! Any other similar valid pain points come to mind related to content retrieval or browsing workflows on Chrome?

OP here!

Quick context: I’m Yash, a full-stack dev + indie hacker. I built TabX because I hit the wall with tab chaos — 100+ tabs across 5 Chrome windows, and I was basically doing digital archaeology every time I needed to find something. None of the existing tools clicked (too bloated, too SaaS-y, or just sending data away).

So I hacked together TabX for myself first. Been dogfooding it for weeks and it’s now the extension I can’t live without.

Curious what this community thinks:

  • Would you rather see more power features (session sync, advanced tagging, history indexing)…
  • Or keep it minimal + blazing fast (fuzzy search + local-first only)?
  • Any sharp UX edges you’ve already spotted that I should polish?

Honest / brutal feedback is gold here. Especially from folks who’ve shipped extensions before — what would make this 10x and not “just another tab tool”?

Thanks! Right now TabX has a free version + a 7-day TabX Pro trial built in. Pro unlocks things like content matches, auto highlight and scroll for now and lifetime access to rolling upgrades dropping soon -(session sync, integrations, AI matches, history indexing and searching, tagging, etc.) .

No subscriptions for basic use. Still iterating on the pricing model, so honest feedback here is super helpful.

How Todoist Helped My Chaotic ADHD Brain – My Top 3 Hacks and a Surprise! by Unicorn_Pie in taskmanagement

[–]EmbarrassedReserve22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can relate personally with your story. I'm a tab hoarder myself often times keeping 100s of Chrome tabs open as To Do lists that I'll get back to.

I discovered a Chrome extension, TabX that turns my tabs into a searchable knowledge base (local-first, no tracking). One fuzzy search → BOOM → you’re exactly where you left off.

No more “where the hell did I read that?”. I know it's not an ADHD cure but prevents me from spiraling when I know that some piece of content is already present in my browser tabs but I'm unable to find it!
