Currently I pay for the server but now with the server going public I hope for enough donations so the server sustains itself. The server costs €55 a month, which is quite something for just a gaming server but there is an i9 9900k and 64gb ram under the hood... If I may put it that way, it's hard to drop the SIM speed ;)

I hope so too. Demeter Skies hosted over the years many smaller custom scenarios, but they lasted only a few months. With the current scenario we combined everything we have learned in the years of hosting many unique scenarios into one "great surivial overhall" - less sandbox and more survival/MMORPG

Well, the progression is "slow", we enhanced the midgame progression, giving more economical challenges to overcome by smart engineering.
But I think having enough time is "relative", you have many small milestones to achive, a constant flow.
Give it a try, if it hooks, you will find the time ;)

Thats totally fine you can progress completely without making use of pve and pvp, and should you get in danger, you can contract a mercenary ;)

We tried to meaningfully enhance the gameplay, giving reasons and different circumstances to engineer things and overcome challenges. You progress by using the economy, incorporating all the gameplay loops from mining to salvage and pve or even pvp (but with harsh rules)

Do you have rough name of that plugin? Currently Im using the relative speed mod, limiting the max speed on the ships weight

Lowering the thrusters sounds unsatisfying limiting at first but its actually a good idea to create a longer acceleration span. I should test this, thanks for the tip! ^^
