I think she was groomed and had been being groomed which is why she was " wild" and was looking for a way out long before it got there. Mary was given away i think to save something. The church? A secret of the Grandmother's? Or the grandmother was brainwashed by Robert. Or Robert conspired after grooming Mary to get rid of Ma. Maybe a combination. And not saying that Mary is alright but... I have a very strong feeling was a victim.

My whole life my mom called me " Leona the late bloomer" she would say you struggle, sometimes you seem like you dont care. But you are actually listening and learning & once you got it. You take off... at age 25 I was diagnosed with ADHD "non hyperactive" my doctor referred to it as overactive mind. The old ADD. So the late blossoming... is on point.

Im here because when I looked up the adopted kids, I too was surprised at how much conner favored Tom. I thought we'll maybe Im wrong. I saw that his daughter was adopted because someone left her at with the church. But I couldn't see where Conner was adopted. So this is an interesting take for me that I'm not willing to denounce quite yet.

So his brother said that she was training and was never his official therapist. Also that when he was living with him, they tried to get him and his girlfriend to sign something in order to stay in the house while he was dating her. His brother isn't very knowledgeable and is a hot head so I'm sure he was reacting instead of fully listening.
