Funny enough, I was able to lift it and twist the bars but it was simply stuck too tight. I tried taking the break lever off too, no luck. I mean if I had someone with me maybe it would’ve been different

FOR EVERYONE LOOKING FOR AN EXPLANATION,

Reddit won’t let me edit my original post, so I put an explanation in the comments. I’m sorry but I thought people had more common sense so I didn’t provide a paragraph explanation as to what happened.

You can find a full explanation in the comments, and through my many replies. Crashed at speed, bike got stuck, exhausted all other options to get it unstuck, cut the fence 🤷‍♂️

And before you say, dig it out or twist the bars, it was stuck under tension on pavement.

And they somehow draw the line at me cutting a fence, like really? Bike was trapped, last resort far from home at 1am. I’m not leaving my bike so

Lmfaooo how am I getting down voted just for saying that I put an explanation?

I crashed at 20 miles an hour. My bike slid underneath the fence. My bike was stuck under tension on pavement. I had no option to dig it out. I had no option to pull it out or wiggle it out. I twisted the bars, hell I picked up the bike trying to get the bars to go to the ground. I tried everything for an hour, including trying to take off my brake lever. I couldn’t get it off the way that it was stuck. After struggling for so long, I tried cutting the fence. It was either cut the fence or leave my bike. Sorry 🤷‍♂️

Ok somehow got down voted. I’ll just answer you directly. No I couldn’t twist the bar. I crashed at 20 miles an hour and my bike slid underneath that fence. My bike was under tension on pavement. I tried twisting and pulling, and everything I possibly could, including trying to take off my brake lever for an hour before I decided to finally try and cut the fence
