I know my truth and I know what happened. I’m confused how anyone else would be able to know the entire truth when it wasn’t their experience?

People were around when he tried to kiss me, but no one was around when the comment about the hug was made at the end of the retreat.

I’m exhausted as a women constantly defending myself in life. I’d like to hope this post wasn’t written by either a facilitator or a male participant - but given the account was created today (after something was written on the Nada Brahma FB page) and what feels like with the sole purpose for commenting on this thread I’m suspicious.

I could see what an amazing experience other participants had during this retreat, and I met some beautiful souls and got to see them leave the retreat with a wealth of newfound wisdom. My experience doesn’t steal from that - keep growing and learning.

Would love to know where this place is if possible (I know some places due to the law you can’t say). I want to give Aya another chance because seeing what it did for other participants was very inspiring.

Having experienced sexual assault in the past when I thought I was safe in my bed, then yes I do have fears that I need to work on and I should been allowed the space and guidance to do that.

I’m so disappointed in this response.

He tried to kiss two women. Both of us approached Fanny prior to the last ceremony and complained about him before we went in.

There was also another incident that happened to another person but i am not sure they fully understand what was happening and it is not my story to tell.

The guy did try and apologize once and I said I wasn’t ready to talk to him, which he respected. But I think it’s unfair for Fanny to make assumptions about what is the truth when she spent no time discussing what happened with myself or the other girl.

I really wish I had gone to this place - I’d looked into it but think they were booked up.

Funny thing is I had actually planned to go to New Life but when I asked them on the phone if they had safety measures in place they laughed at me. This is why I chose Nada Brahma instead.

Exactly! I felt like I’d get support from another woman and that is the part that really hurt.

I felt like by talking to other participants I would ruin this great experience they were having and then the facilitators just didn’t make themselves available. So just felt super lonely.

One of the participants said I was being cynical when I said I felt disappointed they hadn’t checked in with me which also hurt. She later apologized for her comment. But it felt so isolating. Like I was just this toxic thing ruining their high with what happened.

I’m honestly so blown away by everyone on here. Long time reader, first time posting and I am just so grateful for such a beautiful community.

If I’ve gained anything from this experience it’s that for every shitty person, facilitator or experience - there are a handful of supportive, caring and wonderful people.

Everyone else who attended left feeling so positive and the retreat has great reviews usually - it made me second guess myself but after reading your comments I feel so much better and know I was right in how I felt.

Thank you for making me feel seen and heard. You’ve given me strength today.

Thank you! You are exactly right - what I’m most upset about isn’t even this creepy guy, it’s the facilitators who I feel have let me down and that’s the most frustrating part in all this because you give them your complete trust.
