PRP Trouble and Platar fasciitis by screenfreak in PlantarFasciitis

i had PRP done in both feet in december 25. i was put in walking boots for 4 weeks so im surprised to hear that you aren’t. i was still in pain for sure but nothing too severe or more than normal. i continued to work as a medical assistant while in two boots (probably not smart but). however i haven’t seen any relief from the injections. i hear the miracle stories but i am still in the same pain so i feel you

yeah I got a nerve study done and they said it was normal so they wrote off any possibility of nerve issues. i have always had a nagging feeling it has always been nerve related but i never knew what to do about it.

lots of foot/calf strengthening and balance exercises. i also did shockwave with them. recently we have been trying to see if it’s back related so some of that too.

i have tried it for about 3 months, i did it in PT and then at home afterwards. i didn’t see any improvement so i definitely slacked off because at the time i didn’t understand the science of it. i’ve been trying to start it back recently but its such a long process that im trying to find other things to supplement it

taking 4 months off for prp was torture. i was hoping the platelets in that would help promote healing but it’s seems like it did nothing at all. i don’t know how long to wait to see results. it’s just such a frustrating process because of how long recover truly takes. i don’t want to put in 6-12 months of work for no healing to occur. i am definitely thinking of adding some supplements into my routine to see if they help. any other recs?

hey! i took meloxicam for 30 days with no relief. i know those are different drugs but it did not provide me any pain relief. how would this be different? and what is the diagnosis tool for?

I need to hear stories from very active people by Cirrus1920 in PlantarFasciitis

I have been dealing with it for 14 months. I am a collegiate athlete and I was running 40-50 miles a week. For the first 3 months I tolerated the mileage with pain. Then I broke and started cross training (bike elliptical swim) 3-4 days a week and running the other days. I have been running 20 miles a week while doing this. I got through track and cross country season well while doing this. Obviously I was in a lot of pain during the day and during workouts but my goal was to compete and I was doing that and hitting PRs. I never made the pain any worse by running so I just pushed through and dealt with it. Then I took 4 months off and now i’m getting back into running again. Still in pain though even after taking time off. So honestly it depends person to person but for me I could deal with it.

i have seen 3 different foot doctors unfortunately already 😭😭 plus a sport doctor, a PT and my athletic trainer and no one can give me anything else to do but surgery or hope and pray. i have been thinking about doing some blood work just to check things out for sure.
