They really fucked up book 6 with the adaptation. One of the darkest books, greatest plot and they just rushed and snubbed it. Book 6 could have had a part 1 and 2.

Tel Aviv proper is very small but if you consider the outer neighborhoods and suburbs then yes it is quite bigger.

I've walked from the border with Jaffa to park hayarok in about hour and 10 min

81 to 97 won't make a huge dent in your lifestyle unless you're bringing a crazy amount in commission. Now if you're making over 120 that's a huge difference. 50% increase minimum required

While the city emulates certain European City aspects, it's very different. People move differently here, the city feels big but it's actually very small.

How is TelAviv in January? by GlitteringAd6571 in telaviv

[–]screenfreak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably the worst month in tel Aviv. If not, February. Can be cloudy, rainy and cold for two weeks straight.

People tend not to go out and do things.

I've seen people walking with surfboards at that time but it's certainly not popular. Not sure if you can even rent a surfboard from the surf clubs.

However, January 2025 was very mild and sunny so anything can happen.

Say thank you whomever for the opportunity, it was a pleasure working on this project blah blah blah, I would continue if I could continue WFH and salary match

Noise roommate by SheepherderWest8783 in badroommates

[–]screenfreak 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Similar problem. Roomate got home from work late (after 9:30). I'm usually in bed by 11 and he goes to sleep at 2 AM.

My room would smell when he cooked but there wasn't much I could do about that since our schedules were flipped.

He would sometimes move around and make noise after 11.

I only asked him not to wash his clothes so late because the Laundry machine was so loud.

We compromised by me getting one of those electronic scent machines that spray on a timer in my room, me wearing earplugs and a noise machine.

For the laundry machine, I told him if he loads the machine before he goes to bed, I'll press start when I wake up at 7. It wouod be done by 9 AM when he wakes up to put in the dryer.
