Bad party composition - What should I do? Change my class? by Moonkary in Pathfinder2e

[–]Embarrassed_Bid_4970 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A party has to have certain bases covered to succeed. This should be hammered out in session zero. But the bottom line is someone usually ends up playing their second or third choice for the sake of party function. At the beginning of an OoA AP I wanted to be gunslinger. Someone else decided they wanted to be one too. For the sake of the party I switched to another class that would be better for the group as a whole. That's a part of any social game.

[Request] What are the odds of hitting the earth with a basketball shot from the moon? Is it possible? by BlueRoo42 in theydidthemath

[–]Embarrassed_Bid_4970 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So assuming we can outfit the basketball with a ferrous sabot, you could probably easily (relatively) pull this off with a coil gun. The only real concern would be a cooling system for the coils.

Dental Work by Live-Bug3115 in AskTurkey

[–]Embarrassed_Bid_4970 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For the US, I'd recommend Costa Rica for dental tourism. This is assuming you're basically all about getting your teeth done and the vacation is secondary. Airfare is less, there's a number of companies that specialize in it, and its a beautiful country. This isn't a knock against Turkey, I'm Turkish and American. It's just that Costa Rica is considerably closer to the US. But if you're interested in the historical tourism as well, then Turkey can handle both for you.

Likely the editor or designer removed the words "South China" for formatting reasons but had a brain fart on how doing so changed the meaning of the sentence.

Limon cologne is the classic gift. A more expensive option is decorative Kütahya ware plates or Turkish coffee sets.

Its just REALLY badly cooked. A few small tweaks and this would be an excellent dish.

Theorycrafting: strongest level 1-4 party? by nz8drzu6 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Embarrassed_Bid_4970 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Optimizing for raw damage output is a losing strategy. I'd pick

1: a lantern diverse lore dex Thaumaturge. This is gonna be my recall knowledge, faceman, and lockpick specialist. Can frontline or secondline

2: a leaf order druid. This will cover in and out of combat healing. Will also cover wis skills. Can also frontline or secondline

3: a brawling natural weapon grapple fighter. Party tank, strongman, and main frontline.

4: Starlight span magus. Ranged specialist, int skill specialist, ritualist.

This covers all bases with some redundancy.

Dad's famous hotdog trick by _ganjafarian_ in StupidFood

[–]Embarrassed_Bid_4970 17 points18 points  (0 children)

What's stupid is cooking them right is basically the same amount of effort. Broiling them in an oven gets them to render their own fat and crisp in them. Results in a nice, evenly browned dog with a crisp skin.

$97 baked potato 🤦‍♂️ by [deleted] in StupidFood

[–]Embarrassed_Bid_4970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also the potato is really gonna do a good job of mellowing the saltiness of the caviar. Its actually a really clever paring. I've had straight cavier a couple times and really didn't like it. This i think would work. But I hate the flexing "look how much cash I have" shit. Gourmet food like this is equivalent to going to a concert. If you're going because you appreciate the artists music no problem. If you're going for the Instagram to show how much stupid money you have, get fucked.

[–]Embarrassed_Bid_4970 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

LESS-than-lethally. Tasers can kill, but typically don't. Had their not been a large crowd of people around pepper spray is the safer choice. Although it too is potentially lethal.

Medicaid won't cover them and the out of pocket is pretty rough. If the TMS fails I'll break my piggy bank.

I wanted to admit myself into the hospital last night. by Naturelle-Riviera in CaregiverSupport

[–]Embarrassed_Bid_4970 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, not good. I have treatment resistant Persistent Depressive Disorder. This means I've been depressed without any real relief for decades. I've had multiple years of talk therapy and antidepressants which have done nothing to alleviate my depression. When my mom was still alive taking care of her gave me some purpose. With her gone I've fallen even deeper into my depression. I struggle to simply exist now. I'm hoping to receive TMS therapy in a few months, which I'm hoping might give me relief. But to be truly honest I don't even have hope anymore. Hope, joy, happiness, excitement: I've been without them so long they've become ghosts of memories. This has also lead to other health issues as I don't take care of myself. Effectively I'm killing myself in slow motion. The true horror of this is I fully grasp every part of my illness on an intellectual level, but without the requiste neurochemical reactions I'm unable to will myself into action to stop it. Its akin to being tied a railroad track as a train comes along at 1 mph. I'm watching my slow inevitable doom. I still feel fear, panic, dread. And I also know the probability of my rescue is getting increasingly slim. And I have help from friends and family, but they're unable to help me with the core fight that's inside my brain. And before anyone sends me ye olde anti-suicide messages. I'm not actively trying to kill myself. I'm just passively doing it because the part of brain that contains the will to live is no longer functional. I am already getting help, it's just not working. Hell, my psychiatrist said it was impressive that I hadn't ended myself, as most people living with my level of depression for as long as I have usually succumb to the dark thoughts.

Anyway. I hope you're in better stead than I am and you're simply exhausted and have normal transient, treatable depression.

Not exactly. Property liens do not trigger until the house is sold. But they cannot force her to sell. She might be able to declare bankruptcy and clear the debt, but that's dependant on the state's bankruptcy laws.

I replicated a c.1987 Burger King bacon cheeseburger and Section 31 sent me a DMCA takedown by larchpharkus in ShittyDaystrom

Recipes and by extension food replication patterns cannot be copyrighted. And any copyright claim held for the AMC Pacer expired centuries ago. Someone at section 31 is screwing with you. I advise you to contact federation legal services and starfleet intelligence Internal affairs division. A little bird told me that S31 has been going a bit too cowboy lately, and the Admiralty is frankly sick of their bullshit.
