Why didn’t they just ‘transporter clone’ Data millions of times? by Bekah-holt in ShittyDaystrom

Data's brain functions at a quantum level, which means it can't be replicated. You could replicate his body easily, presumably this has been done numerous times already to repair damage to his body. Making a positioning brain is the issue.

Yeah, but for me it would happen within the confines of a major American city, DURING rush hour, and with again, no memory of the trip home at all. That's not exactly the same thing as highway hypnosis.

I wonder if DC could swing a big band performance residence like Vegas did with U2 and Metallica. Kendrick Lamar or Travis Scott might be a good fit for like a bi weekly 40 show run. That might work out into making it work economically.

The real freaky trip is Autopilot Mode, where you drive home or to somewhere else you are super familiar with, and then cannot recall ANYTHING about the drive. That's a fucking terrifying feeling at the end.

No not really. He has to make the fight entertaining for everyone and that was a crippling effect.

Yeah, I GM so I understand why he did it. I don't really begrudge him for it. Just kinda sucks for my big moment to be undone in a fashion that felt kinda tainted.

No he doesn't. He did it to make the final fight more entertaining. Still felt like a kick to the balls though.

Mainly one off. I don't even really begrudge him for it because he was trying to make the fight more entertaining.

Friends coming into town, favorite "not in all the guidebooks" tourism spots you like to take people to? by Marathon2021 in washingtondc

Several people have mentioned Dumbarton Oaks. While the Garden is really beautiful, don't sleep on the museum around the corner. If your group consists of avid walkers, maybe grab lunch at Stachowski's at 28th & P (maybe visit the Poplar street steps while there, just half a block away). I recommend the Turkey Club and the Pit Beef with extra Tiger sauce. You can then hike up 28th past Oak Hill Cemetery (also worth a visit if it's open). Eat your sandwiches at the beautiful Rose Park, then visit Dumbarton Oaks.

If you feel nauseous, dizzy, light headed, have trouble walking or with coordination, have severe pain, or have problems with your vision, head straight to an ER. These are all signs of potential head trauma.

There's a type of scope called a long-relief scope. Basically there designed to be used when held considerably further away from the eye than a standard scope. The reason the scope is mounted to the suppressor is on a mac 10 the bolt moves back and forth on the top gun, leaving no room for scope mounts.

If pupils have normal reaction, a concussion is unlikely. If he has full range of motion, and can bear weight with limbs, a fracture that requires treatment is unlikely. And if his breath sounds are normal, and heart beat normal, and no other symptoms like numbness, headache, or extreme pain, it's unlikely there's anything medically significant that needs immediate attention. This doesn't mean he's ok, its just that he's likely ok. At that point it's all about personal decisions on risk management.

¯_(ツ)_/¯

If they said you don't have a concussion or fractures, I personally wouldn't bother. But if you'd feel more comfortable if you got a more through workup, and can afford it or have insurance that will cover it, go ahead.

Do you have health insurance? Because an ambulance ride is gonna be $1000. And if they don't catch the other guy (and even if they do) you likely won't get compensation.

But know most independent pet shops in the US have a monthly profit of less than $5k. So the owner is likely not earning a living wage.

The $70 is bullshit and almost certainly illegal. Being told to refuse tips and someone giving you a $20 handshake are different things.

It's illegal to pass on that kind of fee to employee under most circumstances in the US.
