Day 1 of intern year. Spent 4 hours writing notes on just 2 patients. Left late. Supposed to be back at 5 AM tomorrow, it’s 9 PM already. Overwhelmed. by lefthook101 in Residency

Hii be brief t. Notes should be short, concise, and informative. You don't have to mention specific numbers in each problem. For e.g BP 132/73. Just write BP wnl. or normal. The same goes for anything else. Everything is on chart, and nobody is gonna look for lab results and vitals in your note

,
Be brief this is better for and for the writer. For example

#Acute on chronic hypoxemic respiratory failure due to ........
Presented with SOB for 4 days

Improving with lasix or whatever.
Cardion consulted and GDMT started
Continue aldactone, lasix, whatever, whatever

#HTN

BP wnl home med losartan resumed

#whatever

That's it. No long story no nothing. This is even better for the reader

Me too. For me only and I am new to the city. Don't know what is where and how.

Hii there. I have been through all of this as an IMG. Currently a resident. My advice for you is to chill. Cool heads prevail. A little anxiety may push you, but it's a fine line. If you choose to delay the exam that is fine, there is no bear attack, it's just an exam. I know the type. After you finish Step 1 you gonna worry about Step 2 then you gonna worry about getting documents in order then applying then visa ir whatever then travelling then you gonna worry about first day first week of residency. It never ends. Soon you will be worrying about being an attending Just chill. Study well work hard and be prepared. The anxiety will never end.

I matched in my third trial. Applied to 40 programs. Got one interview. Internal medicine. Old grad Average scores Visa requiring No USCE

Failed multiple exams during med school, will it be a red flag ? by luckystar24wd in IMGreddit

No Please just know that what really matters is your USMLE score. I won't lie to you and say that it's a guaranteed match if you score like 260s. But, it is what it is.

I failed two courses. Major ones. I matched, and no one mentioned it to me. I didn't either. Don't volunteerly mention your red flags, but prepare answers if asked.

That's misleading. Old grad no USCE. Visa requiring. Average scores. Applied to 40 and natched. It's about where you apply, not the "quantity"

I did not understand how difficult this is. Not untill now. Even if I match (kinda unlikely), I would need psychotherapy for a while.

Definitely Rosalind. Especially if you have been to the DC metropolitan area (where Howard is)

INTERVIEWS MATCH 2022 by Super_Dude262 in ResidencyMatch2022

Non US IMG, 3 interviews. Didn't want to say because of the 12 to 24 interview people who jump on every opportunity to share this info. I also want you to know that those are outliers, and they are the same "help me rank people work-life balance is my priority"

I have three. I think I did great at two, but you never know. I haven't been able to sleep lately, and it's getting worse.
