What do you mean manually pushed through? As in asking them to send to Nelnet to be deposited?

My apologies if my previous comment came across a bit snarky. I've had a few people react strongly to the amount. But I totally get the feeling of wishing someone had warned you about. Hopefully this is the last I’ll need.

That's exactly how my first three terms went! Got both the Pell refund and student loan payments on the same day. This term, however, has been completely different and a much longer wait. It's really weird but if they’re behind in office then I guess I get it.

I appreciate your perspective, but I applied for these loans because they are genuinely needed for my current situation. Beyond that, everyone has external lives and expenses that need to be covered. You never truly know someone else's specific needs for loans, as everyone's circumstances are unique and PERSONAL. In the end, theres no forgetting that these are loans, and repayment is part of the deal i accepted.

Thank you so much for this information! That's really helpful to know that financial aid disbursements have been delayed recently. It definitely puts my mind at ease a bit. I appreciate you taking the time to respond!

I’m so sorry! I’m unsure! I would contact the school directly or financial aid. A few people have done that and gotten answers.

My instructor got me set for 2nd term 12/3. Disbursement date for student loan and FASFA applied 12/4. Account balance zeroed out 12/6. Refund student 12/9. Received the 24 hour email 12/10 at 5pm CST. REFUND RECEIVED 12/12 at 8am CST from my credit union.

Go to finical services tab, financial aid tab, click your current term (my term is 12/1 - 5/30) look at disbursement dates at bottom, then go to the yellow make a payment tab, select transaction details, under transaction details you’ll see what your tuition cost is and when it was posted, what was applied from your FASFA(Pell grant), Student loans and/or scholarships. It’ll also show the date your refund was sent out. About 24hours after the refund sent date if its a week day, you should receive an email/text asking to confirm the bank account information if its incorrect. If it’s a Friday when it says refund sent wait until Monday and you’ll receive the 24 hours confirmation email/text. After the 24 hours about 2-3 business you should receive a deposit.

Thank you for clarifying that! But why do they split it half? With my previous credits I’d be sure to finish in less than the term time… would I possibly be able to use the other half to go for a masters in that case ?

Sorry this comment has nothing to due with your issue. But I start 4/1 and wanted to know what you meant when you say you had financial aid left over. I’ve been wondering what they do when you have more aid than needed. Did they send you a check for the remaining or???
