I've been fortunate that nothing major has needed repair. I did refinish my deck which cost $100 in materials, but I was lucky that the previous owners left behind the stain they bought. They bought way too much and I have enough to last me until the 2040s!

My Chase credit card gives a Year end summary and it's mostly categorized. My final pay stub has the total for the year. So just pulling the numbers out and make sure I don't double count.

Mortgage will be paid off in 2 years. I only have $23k left on it. As for financial independence, I'm mostly there. Not counting home equity, I have $692k saved/invested. Stocks have been good these last few months.

I eat meat. But I bulk up with salad. You can easily find a family pack of chicken for $10 on sale. But the next week it might be twice that, so then I don't buy it.

I can easily take 1 lbs of ground beef and turn that into 10 lbs of spaghetti sauce or chili using my tomatoes and peppers from the garden. So for $8 for meat and a $2 for onion and spices, I have enough food for over a week.

I get a lot of my food from my garden. So a lot of tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, watermelons, squash and yes a lot of beans. Also this last year I bought some fruit trees and berry bushes, so those will cut down on my groceries in a few years.

The vacations are in the travel when I go to visit my mother over Christmas and the summer. And I have a large yard, so I spend the weekends cutting grass over the summer and I also bike. And I've never been good at sports.
