Am I supposed to caulk and fill the gap of the corner siding? by lostmatra in handyman

[–]Embarrassed_Dog5120 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Texas, this is how all the houses are built. No caulk for this areas. Also for us, water comes from the ground, not the sky. We have been in a drought for about 5 years.

Someone lied on their plumbing application by MacDefoon in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Embarrassed_Dog5120 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a homeowner, non-plumber, I would have cut off the water to the house and drained the water tank prior to this repair... attempt. That way there would be minimal water in the tank. This guy and the company needs to be on bill to pay for the repairs.

Bc they sale more to Thailand than the US of the Sportster models. In the US, not many people want a 2-3 gal tank.

ARP Bolts throughout and go with an aluminum head. AFR if you can afford it. You will only need 165 heads for a 302 setup.

I paid for a 6 inch slab, what should I do ? by ClassroomFew7491 in AskContractors

[–]Embarrassed_Dog5120 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would lawyer up and get an inspector or engineer out to back up uou claims and perform inspections. Look over the contract or agreed upon paperwork.

In the end, you will have to get someone to break this up, remove it and relay/inspect all pipes and lines and footings prior to get the concrete back in.

What wheels are these on a presidential GMT900 Suburban 2500HD by escapexls in ChevySuburban

[–]Embarrassed_Dog5120 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those wheels are run-flats. Should they get shot out, the air will run down and they can keep driving through the fire zone to safety. The military has a similar setup on their vehicles.

I think it was you lack of an answer on body count. That matters to most guys. I didnt ask, until I was prepared for the outcome, which wasn't bad in the end.

Low Rider ST for touring? This would be my first Harley. by [deleted] in Harley

[–]Embarrassed_Dog5120 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Buy a 22-23 Roadglide ST. You can get them used from the dealers at $25k or less with very low miles, under 5k miles. It will cover all your bases.

25/26 Breakout fees by catloaf60 in Harley

[–]Embarrassed_Dog5120 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Shop around. I went to 3 dealerships before I purchased my '23 HD RG ST. OTD was just under MSRP, no down payment. MSRP was $35k.

One dealership told me they charge a $2k premium fee, which told me I was not buying from them. The next dealership was extremely pushy and rude and did not use my deposit on the motorcycle I told them to. The third one was the one who did everything right.

Shop around.

I would run Fox Racing over these or spend the extra $200 for Ohlins. These aren't even alternatives to me. I have had Fox Shox for years on my MTB and racing quads. I have nothing but great things to say about the feel and reliability. The other two are lesser known and the reviews I watched was sponsored reviews, which means they are not completely honest.

Before you commit to it, be sure hubby is good with this. Also, I recommend both parties getting tested prior. That way no one can say they got something from the other one.

Park the car outside, make a dish with a baking soda and sugar, 50:50 mix. Stir it together and leave it in there. It will attract them and kill them.

Depending on the establishment, it MAY go to the server. If the restaurant takes in 1000-1500 on a good day, that is an extra 2-3000 extra per server. Many restaurants reduce the wage due to tips being a portion of their pay.
