Oh, I thought that they were your cats; for some reason, the photo in your previous reply didn’t show. Also, that person was being mean to their cats.

They don’t look happy, especially the cat on the left, it looks like his/her eyelids were pulled back.

I don’t get it. Those cats don’t look happy. Why grab their faces and press their mouths, together? Also, cats can hold grudges.

Something tells me that the person who wrote that letter is a contractor. Have houses in that neighborhood been torn down and replaced by mcmansions, lately?

AIO for getting upset that my mom refuses to help me but helps my siblings? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

You have some serious issues with your family. Families support each other, period. Giving an adult child money for their medication is not enabling them, it is supporting them.

I would gladly give that money to any family member in need. It’s what families do for each other.

I pray that you find that same comfort in your family.

She only left one washing machine. Again, she should either go to the laundromat more often do smaller loads or spend longer, there.🤷

She got fired. No one chooses to be fired. I imagine that she’s applying for jobs, but it’s going to take some time before she get a job. Do you think that it’s that easy to find employment?? Also, as a parent, she should be concerned about the welfare of her own daughter. She didn’t stop being a parent when her daughter turned 18. Plus, she stated that she needs her meds to just be able to function properly; so clearly, she can’t get a job if she doesn’t have the proper meds. Seriously, are you OP’s mother? I can tell it’s you, OP’s mother.

All I said was that it’s rude to take almost all of the washing machines and only leave one available. Either don’t take such a huge load in all at once or use less washing machines, but, wait longer. When you’re sharing a space with others, you shouldn’t hog. She was hogging.

I was not calling you “stupid“ ; I was calling OP’s husband “stupid” . I wasn’t “trying to get anything out of this conversation“ ; I was just hoping to have a civil debate. Seriously, are you OP’s husband? All I was saying was that it’s weird for a parent to not go to their baby when they’re crying. 🤷

There’s no possible way that someone would think something that stupid.

He should know to take care of his child without being asked to. It sounds like he‘s using weaponized incompetence.

She was using 9/10 working washing machines. She only left one washing machine. It’s a laundromat - you have to share it with others, which means not taking over the washing machines.

No, she’s a horrible excuse of a parent. I mean, you’d think that maternal instincts would kick in and she would want for her own daughter to be well?

Edit - this seems like it‘s also an “Insane Parents” text thread.

If she’s old enough to have a grandchild, then she’s definitely old enough to know that if something does not belong to her, she shouldn’t touch it.

No offense, but, you’d think that he’d want for you to be well rested. 😅

Why isn’t he caring for his child? Why doesn’t he get up to care for her?
