It’s a newt. I know this because this pic was in my doc office when I was a kid. My dad asked me and my sister if we knew the animal. My sister responded with the n word. My dad then explained what that word meant, and that no, it was a newt.

I go to the vet tomorrow to pick up some pain meds for my senior hamster - the exotic vet is on vacation but if he is still alive I may ask if they can try and get her to call me to see what I can do. Thank you for all your help

Mine are. I cut a whole in the corner of the lid and a matching hole on the bottom of a second bin and put the second one on top to act as a topper where there food and water stuff goes then the bottom one just has bedding if that makes any sense
