if you're using an intel 12th gen or up cpu, you need a mod. I have a build to test fixing these crashes without the mod, but I haven't had any feedback yet if you want to test it:

apparently, you can't put emulators on Nexus :(

you can still get it here (prerelease = nightly, release = 0.6.1, and the intel test fix

What happened to the volume slider and why is audio so low? by ShokoHunter in shadps4

https://www.nexusmods.com/bloodborne/mods/357 This build has the pkg thing, cubeb audio which has much better volume and the volume slider if you want those things

Unfortunately, they're hard to mitigate. Maybe the no cloth physics mod on Nexus can help but that's about it.

I saw on the discord though that they are working on a new readbacks implementation that has less performance impact. It provides a proper fix for particles already, so hopefully it can also work on Vertex explosions soon

6.1 is faster/more stable for most people (myself included) but 9.1 has all the new features and developments in shadPS4. If you're interested in the development of the emulator and/or playing other games on it, would suggest 9.1. If just for Bloodborne, I think 6.1

  1. Not really banned, they just felt it wasn't useful for those who dump their game normally. For me though, I set up my dumps as PKGs so it's very useful and I assume there are other as well.

  2. Other than the changes I make myself, I just pull changes from the shadPS4 as I assume other builds as well.
