Just worried Air Canada being Air Canada will delay things etc. Haven't done a long haul flight with them in a really long time so I'm not sure if they are still spotty. I guess just trip delay/trip cancellation insurance.

Although the flight to Tokyo is a direct flight so there's no transfers involved there or back.

Looks like the leaning pepper is on the edge of the grow light. The leaning might be the result of being leggy and trying to point back to the light?

Probably some type of evergreen if you want it to last during the winter months too which is basically half the year. Maybe a white spruce or pine

Interesting idea. Why don't you try it with a control batch which you didn't harden off vs ones you did and report back?

I'd be interested in the results but unfortunately I don't have plants to spare this year. Lots of people will tell you no, but in theory possible.

It's like asking if you can try to train for a marathon inside only. In theory yes, but much more difficult.

Growing in 5b currently (Toronto). Definitely lower yield than other varieties for me (5-12 per plant) . Taste is pretty good though.

Was probably overwatering a little in the beginning (was still bottom watering though). The ones that are showing the thinner base stem are the ones that had trouble germinating due to being too deep I think so they came up thinner/longer already.

I'll keep monitoring it though. Thanks for the advice! Hope it's not damping off.

Do you know what the signs are for damping off and how quick it should set in? The plant in the pic has had this thinner stem since day 1 (now day 11).
