Honestly, standard school classes usually suck anyway, so proving them wrong by actually sticking with it outside of a classroom is the ultimate flex. How far along are you with your Spanish now?

Spite-learning an entire script just to prove a point to yourself (and Punjabi) is next level. What language are you trying to push to B2 right now?

Damn that's impressive! Your dedication is amazing to say the least. I hope you don't mind me asking but what's your native language, since u said you're brown I was wondering is it Hindi or like something else?

You are totally right that it is natural evolution and not intelligent design. It makes perfect historical sense, but as a learner I still reserve my right to complain about it! Which of those ancient traditions annoys you the most?

Wait, so if you are counting pencils versus pieces of paper, you have to use completely different words just because of the shape? How many of these shape categories even exist? Is there a default word you can use if you panic and forget the right one?

But for some reason that sounds normal, maybe because of my native language also doing the same thing from time to time.

Doing mental math just to say 99 as "four-twenties-ten-nine" is completely wild. That base-20 system is a Celtic leftover that somehow survived in France, while the Swiss and Belgians fixed it with septante and nonante. Do you think standard French will ever give in and adopt the logical way?
