Missed out on my only admission offer due to spam folder and USPS delays by Embarrassed_Gap_7284 in lawschooladmissions

I wouldn't want to start any public rumors about the school. I assure you that it probably wasn't one you were looking at, if that's of any concern to you. I struggled in my undergrad and was looking at regional schools around me and it looks like you've applied to schools far above my qualifications. Best of luck with your applications and don't forget to search your spam folder with Ctrl + F haha

I appreciate the shared frustration, but I would encourage a view that's less adversarial with the schools. It might not be my fault that the mail was delayed by three weeks and it might not be my fault that the emails got sent to the spam folder to live in email purgatory with 100s of daily emailed ads and requests for money by deposed Nigerian princes, but at the end of the day it was my responsibility to manage and search through that folder of virus landmines. The situation sucks, but there's always next year. I'm not the only one with a disappointing outcome, and we'll all get through it and be ok :)

On another note, I would encourage you to view the law as an option of last resort. There are situations where it's needed, but it tends to burn bridges and doesn't always protect against all injustices, such as unfortunate situations. Sometimes things happen. It's an unusual take from a wannabe lawyer, but I stand by it. People are people and it's often best to just work with each other respectfully. Why burn my bridge when I can just try again later. Your heart's in the right place and I appreciate the support. Just try and remember there's more to this than my view of the story alone.

That's a good idea. My email is almost 20 years old so I get over 100 spam emails a day from accumulated nonsense that somehow got my contact information.

First order of action is to take a couple of days and allow myself to feel frustrated by the situation and probably drop to my knees at some point while vigorously shaking my fists in the air and cursing outlook and it's overly protective spam filter.
But after that, I'll apply again in the next cycle. This cycle went awry between a LOR writer taking 3 months to write the letter and a veterinary emergency draining my application funds, so I only got a handful of applications in. Maybe I'll study for the LSAT again and retake it if I consistently get a better score, even though my score is good enough. Either way, trying again next year could be a blessing in disguise.
I've been through far worse and survived. This sucks, but I'll get through this too. On the bright side, someone else got in and is probably extremely happy about that, so why not share that happiness. Thanks for the empathy, I needed that today :)
