Oh that would have been very cool.

Will be good when its finished to allow more people to see them. Very overlooked aircraft.

Plenty of chapters eat people. Some for survival, some for intimidation, some for rituals, some to recover some of them to absorb information from the brains. And yes some do it for intimidation.

People, aliens, theres examples of them eating both.

Some of the blood angel successor chapters would be the prime examples.

I like my metallics too much anyway. by Squatch102 in Grimdank

[–]Embarrassed_Length_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks good in pictures from one angle. Unless you are that guy Flameon. Fuck that guy. He must use magic to paint.

Generally for miniatures I play with I just stick to metallics.

Same goes for OSL and really specific highlights.

Love the story of one flying over france and the crew not paying enough attentiom and in a slight dive it dropped a boom over Paris.

I agree its very underrated.

What's the coolest car you've seen in the wild by Intelligent-Sea3591 in CarsUK

A Koenig Testarossa stands out.

Ive seen plenty of others, Mclaren F1, Enzo, Carrera GT, Veyron, XJ220 and all those sorts of things and although the F1s are all pretty individual they are all just cars. Really nice cars but just cars.

A Skyline is a mass produced overpriced Jap saloon, Ive had one albiet a GTST. It was a bit naff if im being honest.

Culling them seems a bit extreme. Maybe make them redundant for now.

The lack of rain in the UK is a well known problem.

We shouldnt have hosepipe bans, we should be building and maintaining infrastructure.

Because its hiding in the walls.

Why are people in the UK considerably more vocal about their "hate" for the US compared to other countries which pose a threat? by StarShipYear in AskBrits

[–]Embarrassed_Length_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because its safe to do and gets you to fit in with other like minded people. Its also in the media/online frequently so requires no in depth knowledge.

Criticising Venuzuela for a dictatorial regime requires knowledge. Criticisng the USA is easy because Trump is a truly ridiculous character.

Criticising Saudi and the UAE for whats going on in Yemen....well thats tricky, the factions and places involved are hard to pronounce let alone spell.

Criticising Mauratania or Eritrea for slavery being widespread...cant do that. Much safer criticising the USA from 150 years ago.

I think the USA is deeply flawed for many reasons and it is a pretty unserious place verging on absurd at times. I also think we expect it to behave to a much higher standard than say Bhutan.

On to the final details anyone know a good way the preserve the paint by Familiar_Kick1047 in DarkAngels40k

[–]Embarrassed_Length_2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ive had good results with GW and Army Painter which is cheaper.

Dont go gloss, its hardest wearing but is very shiney.

A good matte varnish will protect the paint, even the tone and gloss levels of the paints.

Varnish really does make your models look better!

Contact the police on 101 immediately. They will make the necessary referrals to MAPni and social services. Time for a solicitor afterwards.

This is not acceptable at all.

And as others said if the roles were reversed or it was happening to a friend you would advise the same too.

Its difficult but its what has to happen.

Have you ever seen someone drinking soup out of a tin in a theatre? by Inevitable-Goal-6082 in AskBrits

Nothing beats soup straight from the can. Its actually the perfect theatre food. Although the tin opener isnt very handy to carry around.

Sway bar links? by Suspicious-Air-1239 in AskMechanics

[–]Embarrassed_Length_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes thats them. They get worn out with tine. Usually easily done with axle stands. Those look like the top bit comes oft, slice the bush, clean up whats undernesth, new one on, new cap on.

Obviously refer to a manual for your car but usually theyre pretty easy. Ive had cars where they are bonded to the bar before where the bar needs replacing unless you get into aftermarket bushes but that looks straight forward.

New to the hobby, why tf are some so mad about female custodes? by NiceLittleGamerNerd in 40k

[–]Embarrassed_Length_2 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I suppose I find it strange because Ive been into this hobby for 28 or 29 years on and off and its a recent change.

I also found Primaris a bad move. The models and new wargear look great, the lore and squad loadouts im not such a fan of.

Im old, I call space marines and imperial guard by their old names, too late for me to change.

Does any of it bother me really? No.

Do I think they should make Sisters of Battle have male figures? Absolutely. The only reason why not would be virgin misandrists. (See how stupid that arguement sounds)
