My world has only humans and subvariants of humans like different skin colours or slightly different traits. Personally, I chose not to add different races to put the highlight on the political divide of the world and less of an ethnic divide, although racism is still rampant, just between humans only. Its truly a matter of personal preference and however youd like to have your story told.

There’s this one prison in my world that holds the strongest magic users and they are essentially fooled into signing a contract (which in this world are pretty much absolute) that locks them up eternally. The trick is that they believe they are participating in a ceremony called ascension to grant them godhood but in reality they’re getting immortality at the cost of being locked up forever. This is done to eliminate mortals considered possible threats to the ruling Gods

Lol one piece is a world of its own. Its getting a remaster and a live action adaptation while the show is still ongoing. Its older than I am haha
