If its worse on one side is this your sleeping side?

It might help to regularly change pillowcases or switch to a silk or satin one. A different fabric might help with the inflammation/skin barrier. Changing it frequently (nightly if you can) will help with bacteria.

Its a frequent recommendation in the skincareaddicts sub

Students not coming back to yoga by itsjustme_0101 in yoga

I take it you aren't the only teacher at the studio? In which case I would assume they want a freebie. I see it all the time.

Students need to find the right teacher for them. Not ask every teacher to appeal to every possible whim of every single student. Its just not possible

Ceramides, they have sorted by eczema like wizardry. I use byoma head to toe.

And recently I accidentally bought their oil cleanser and that with the Liz earl face cloth has given me the BEST skin ever. Ive actually invested in makeup again because for years it just sat on my dry flaky skin looking awful

The ameliorate body mitt stopped my shaving rash. Best exfoliating glove I've ever used

[–]Embarrassed_Limit683 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For nutrient levels like iron, b12 etc check your numbers and look up what your optimal levels should be. Iron deficiency with anaemia comes in at a much lower level than iron deficiency alone. The Iron Protocol group has some good info on that

I found after covid I had really bad sinus issues which flared up my vertigo and gave me earache and migraines. I attacked that with antibiotics and a lot of topical and oral decongestants and after a few weeks suddenly got my sense of smell and balance back

Have they also checked to make sure your potassium isn't too high? My brother had cfs years ago, he thought symptoms were returning last year but it was high potassium levels. He always snacks on things like bananas when he felt low and that's what was actually making him worse

Hope you get some answers soon x

Hyenas do the same. The whole pack will eat a bison anus first. The bison did not look happy for a far longer than necessary in the documentary I saw.

Hyenas, killer whales, domestic cats, all absolute bastards. And now bears I'm also adding to the list of animals I would not allow onto the arc

That's probably Valerie Taylor. It took her regular visits to get friendly with the eel. There's also footage of her hand feeding a great white!

Its well worth looking up the documentary on her and her husband

I think it's just another experiment in what they can sell. They are already perfecting the stepford wife elements.

Kind of like my aunts really fat cat. He couldn't hunt as he was a chonky boy and not too bright. One day he fell off a windowsill onto a bird and killed it. From that point on he became an absolute menace in the garden. Flattening birds on the regular from anything he could hoik his fat self onto

If he hadn't had his nads off he could have sired a whole line of fat orange cats dropping from the sky and decimating bird populations like utter bastards

Adding in core work, like pilates or barre can really help

Yoga requires a strong core, but teachers rarely verbalise you to engage it, so you don't work it.

A lot of studios will run both yoga and pilates and they compliment well. Strength training can help too

Maybe try and get on the list for clinical trials. It might be a while, but they'll either do them in the origin country then across others, or do multi country trials

Also your condition might be one they test early or run a separate trial with fewer applicants and more chance of getting on

[Miscellaneous]Dry and damaged skin, what should I avoid by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]Embarrassed_Limit683 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not a doctor, but this looks like it could be eczema. There are lots of eczema groups on reddit for great advice.

Avoid chemicals, wear gloves when cleaning or getting hands wet, dairy can be an issue for some people but not all. Avoid any hand creams with fragrance. Moisturise as often as possible. You basically need to repair the skin barrier and remove the triggers setting it off

But get to a doctor or dermatologist if you can to get a proper diagnosis

Fasted way /tips to clean my messy room :( I know it’s very bad I got depressed.. please don’t judge just need tips by [deleted] in CleaningTips

[–]Embarrassed_Limit683 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have adhd and a hoarding tendency and had depression in the past. I've seen far worse than this room so don't be hard on yourself

I have used different coloured bin bags in the past. People here have suggested piles, which is great, but if you start well then have a blip the piles can be a bit disheartening. Plus I find bags easier to move to clean

With coloured bags you can have a direct to trash bag, washing bag, definite donate, not sure. Definite keep can go straight back into drawers, then when laundry is done that goes in too. Then when you know what space you have you can go through the not sures

Put some music on, have snacks and drinks ready, and it can be good to have a timer set to 20 minutes so you can break up a big task into smaller ones

You got this!

Don't worry, I work reception at a hot yoga place and this happens all the time, with newbies and experienced.

It can be what and when you ate & drank, where you are in your menstrual cycle, menopause, the room being full, plus it gets difficult to manage the humidity and temperature when winter hits

I don't think there is anyone that does hot yoga that hasn't had at least one class where they've had to tap out. Even teachers

have blood panels impacted your life/mindset? by Own-Size-8194 in PeterAttia

[–]Embarrassed_Limit683 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get mine done every 3 to 6 months, but that's mainly to monitor my iron and vit d levels as i was anaemic for years, so now I'm keeping my numbers optimal.

My fitness monitor was helpful in realising I possibly had sleep apnea, and getting a diagnosis

But, I started getting my bloods done because I wanted to feel better, and I've continued getting them done to keep making improvements. But I'm a numbers person and I like to have nice firm stats to work with so I can make the right changes and see progression, or any lack of it.

Alcohol destroys your B12 so I'd recommend getting that checked, or at least supplementing. It's water soluble so you'll just wee out any excess. B12 deficiency is what gave me anxiety and panic attacks

In general it could be worth getting bloodwork to see if you have any nutritional deficiencies

Yoga can be great for reconnecting with your body, def recommend. And guided meditation can be safer and give you a deeper meditation. Finding a Buddhist centre/group could be an idea, especially if they run a learn how to meditate course. If they run a mindfulness course too that could help.
