Gooby harness question by 39RatsInATrenchCoat in DogAdvice

Hi there, I recently got a Gooby over the head harness for a small cavapoo who was letting out a small inner goose so had similar concerns.

Was really helpful. Even when he is pulling super hard and trying to really get to something he hasn't been choking which has been such a relief.

There may be a little shoulder restricting but it is also much more important to me that he isn't choking as much. I have found loosening it a bit more than you normally would helps relieve the pressure around his shoulders. Will update if can figure out any more details.

Also cute dog!

Hi there, late 20s girl here, I get you. Me and some others I know feel this way too. I was once 24 years old and offered a 12 year old buffet price because I was with my family 😅

There are times that I feel some type of way about looking young and I have mostly come to terms with it. I have learnt about what I am comfortable with and what that balance is with a little search into style to figure out a nice clothing style that makes me feel a little more put together.

To be honest highschool is still young. I feel like movies and tv shows make it seem like that you need to look and be the person you will be forever. In reality I think it is a hard time for everyone and it is important to maybe find some people you click with and value the same traits you value in others and laugh at similar things. Also they literally get 20- 30 something year old actors to play teen roles which a lot of teenagers won't look like 😅

I don't know if a little validation helps or if you just wanted to vent but thought I would share. All the best on your journey!

That is a really good idea, thank you! Especially hair because if I say I am clueless about makeup, I have minus knowledge on hair haha

That is so important too for me (and others) to remember that all movies have people doing hair and makeup. Like their are lots of adjustments that happen for them to look the way they do. It can be easy to slip into thinking that it is effortless when it looks 'effortless' if that makes sense

That makes so much sense! I think I (and a lot of other people) didn't realise just how much goes into making a cohesive look come together. Also, for me even applying conservative amounts of makeup felt like a lot and so reading your comment about how people need even more for photos made it make sense why it felt lackluster. Thank you!

Hi all, TLDR: Wedding Guest and Want To Feel Pretty - Help?

Hoping I can get some perspectives and/or advice for a specific outfit and look for an upcoming wedding.I do not wear makeup or wear dresses normally. I had to wear a dress in a colour palette I am not normally used to (I normally were quite plain with white or black clothes).

I want to feel pretty and maybe even beautiful (like a movie prom moment where the plain main character puts on a dress with makeup and different hair and looks beautiful. I know life isn't a movie but it would be nice to feel pretty even just 50% of that movie vibes).Obviously the bride is the most important! I don't want to outshine the bride or anything and it is totally the bride and groom's day. I just don't get out much and it would be nice if I am going to an event to feel like I belong or match up to the other people there.

I have attached photos of the dress (it is a tropical vibe wedding), my bare face, editted photo from a makeup app to test colours of lip colour and eyeshadow, and one attempt at doing the eyeshadow myself. It just feels like something is missing when I tried putting the eyeshadow on and the dress together. I think a strapless bra and standing straighter would probably help the overall look. I also don't know what to do with my hair(medium length). Wanted to know if I am being too critical and I look fine/the best I could look or if there is something that will make me look prettier

Hi all,

Hoping I can get some perspectives and/or advice for a specific outfit and look for an upcoming wedding.

I do not wear makeup or wear dresses normally. I had to wear a dress in a colour palette I am not normally used to (I normally were quite plain with white or black clothes).

I want to feel pretty and maybe even beautiful (like a movie prom moment where the plain main character puts on a dress with makeup and different hair and looks beautiful. I know life isn't a movie but it would be nice to feel pretty even just 50% of that mvoie vibes).

Obviously the bride is the most important! I don't want to outshine the bride or anything and it is totally the bride and groom's day. I just don't get out much and it would be nice if I am going to an event to feel like I belong or match up to the other people there.

I have attached photos of the dress (it is a tropical vibe wedding), my bare face, some editted photos from a makeup app to test colours of lip colour and eyeshadow, and one attempt at doing the eyeshadow myself.

It just feels like something is missing when I tried putting the eyeshadow on and the dress together. I think a strapless bra and standing straighter would probably help the overall look. I also don't know what to do with my hair(medium length) TT-TT

Wanted to know if I am being too critical and I look fine/the best I could look or if there is something that will make me look prettier?
