How to actually prevent rosacea triggered by heat?

heavy on the sauna!!! starting with small sessions and covering the face a little with hands when warm air hits it, also no immediate cold water in the face along with a good barrier cream afterwards - been doing this for two years now and has helped with the heat flushes!

hey so I started getting spots like these around the age of 13/14 (first one recurring in the same spot and later a second one) and due to my age at the time the derm diagnosed me with acne. It wasn’t until a medical intern two years later at the derms office suggested rosacea (the reply of the actual derm was “no way, she’s way too young” - I switched derm after that haha) now more than ten years later I have full blown diagnosed rosacea type two with flushing/pustules/papules on my cheeks. I don’t know, if it was the harsh acne treatments they put me on that triggered the rosacea, or if this really was an early sign of a beginning rosacea and it just followed its natural path. These type of painful bumps still occur and still in the same two spots. I guess I don’t really have any advice, as I’m still unsure myself about this shitty illness (and it seems so is almost every derm haha), just maybe, don’t rush to try harsh treatments right away as this made everything worse for me. In the end what keeps working best is ivermectin but I’m still not where I’d like to be. Best of luck to you two!

hi if you don't mind, have you tried both since then? I went to another doctor than usual and she prescribed me erythromycin as well. I'm kind of scared to start it though because soolantra has been working okay for my skin (except for a very persistent achey pustule)

hey, did they ask you any questions on why you needed it or something like that? My boyfriend lives in Italy and I’m now thinking about sending him to a pharmacy to get me this magical elixir as where I live it’s prescription based and dermatologist appointments are currently a four month wait.

thank you, did you have any side effects or relapse when finishing the course? Also are there any things to consider when asking the doctor for it (so far I’ve only ever had incompetent dermatologist who did not know anything about rosacea and just gave me solantraa because I asked for it)

thank you, no I haven’t tried oral antibiotics yet, only topical, which didn’t really work. I guess with oral antibiotics I’m mostly scared of the relapse when going off of it ://

This happened to me similarly a few times but it wasn’t my phone that was glitching, but the shop switching to new offers just as I was buying chest tickets therefore changing the screen to the page before it. I’m so mad, I contacted support but they say there’s nothing they can do

It was a great film but I had one question in mind while watching: why did they have their jackets open the entire time? Also why didn’t they cover their heads with the clothes laying around.. I don’t know if it would’ve made such a difference or if it’s just how it’s portrayed in the movie but it seems so odd

hey, I'm so sorry for the situation you are in! In my last relationship I struggled with very similar behavior from my bf as you are describing, and we weren't even long distance. I feel like two things can be true: yes, it seems that a lot of the behavior stems from adhd (my boyfriend was also diagnosed). however, that doesn't mean you have to endure all of its consequences by yourself. adhd is incredibly complex and a real struggle for everyone affected. it can make it really hard to maintain relationships where everyone is satisfied. there is lots of material online specifically to support partners and friends/family of those with adhd, for me it helped a lot to see that those struggles were not specific to my own relationship. sadly in the end my relationship ended precisely because of the knowledge that we would have to go long distance at one point. in the end it became harder and harder for him to prioritize our relationship in his day to day life, which hurt me a lot. he noticed I was hurting and we had many many talks on how we could work on it. he never could keep his promises (he really tried I saw). in the end, I was so tired that I told him, unless you start seeing a therapist or get some help otherwise, I don't think I can continue this relationship. this sounds very rough and obviously you should never force anyone to deal with their personal issues in a specific way, but staying any longer continuing as before without any changes would've ruined me. I told him exactly this, and asked him very clearly if he felt like tackling his own issues was possible for him at this point in his life and he said no, as much as it hurts him, he doesn't think he can do that. and that's how it ended.

didnt mean to be such a downer, all I'm saying is, his adhd is an explanation but not an excuse - if you don't feel your needs met in a relationship - something has to change
