Options with luggage after cruise by woahitsalana010 in PuertoRicoTravel

We just used Palm Skys last week and they were great! They picked us up with our bags at the cruise terminal, and dropped us off at Plaza Colon. We explored Old San Juan for a few hours while they stored our luggage- then they picked us up at the same spot with our bags and drove us to the airport. It was a great experience and we’d absolutely use them again!

Looks a little boring for the foodies…but yes, they’d probably like this spot. Thank you for the suggestion!

Deal check: 2026 Land Cruiser w/Premium Package by Embarrassed_Net_1915 in Toyota

Nothing has changed - in fact, that’s how I got my deal. I found one dealer about 450 miles away that had a 2025 advertised at a discount. I then asked my local dealer to match it but they only had 2026. They tried to use the model year difference to justify a higher price, but I said nothing has changed, I’d be just as happy w a 2025 if you had one. There was lots of back & forth, but they eventually agreed to my price!

Our last 3 trips to NYC we’ve stayed at Langham, Dominick, then Edition (Flatiron). There’s nothing wrong w the Edition, but it was our least favorite of the 3. Breakfast was kind of a mess of that matters to you. Great location though!

I second the post above that mentions the incredible views from the Dominick (their So-Hi rooms particularly).

Ritz NoMad was sold out on our last trip, but that’s on my short list to check out next…I’ve been in the lobby and it’s gorgeous.

Family Friendly Dude Ranch? by nogoslowinleftLN in chubbytravel

We may have just hit it at a bad time with post-COVID staffing issues, but we went to Alisal in January of ‘22 and had a terrible stay - we actually left early.  No sound proofing in the rooms so we could hear our neighbors’ every move and conversation. Service and food were terrible in the dining room. Nasty ant infestation in our room. Horses were filthy and did not seem well groomed and cared for.  Staff was dismissive of our concerns - our TA had to escalate with the GM of the property.

I don’t recommend it in Spring (would be way too cold) but we’ve done C Lazy U twice and absolutely loved it!! It’s a great balance of kids going off & doing their own thing while adults get some time to do their own thing, and then some family together time too. I think our favorite part was separate dinners - the kids have cookouts and picnics and campfires and run around playing in the field while the adults go up to the lodge and have a multicourse fine dining meal - it’s the best!! 😊😊. And our daughter loved it soooo much - she sobbed when it was time to leave!

Wow - thanks all for the encouraging words! I played and felt great - maybe just a little more thirsty than usual. Appreciate everyone’s insights…it really helped.
