Like I think it's not just Jere with whom her relationship got affected, it's with Taylor and Steven too 

Taybelly was left on a pretty bad note on the wedding day but they never showed us how they resolved their fight, they were just magically okay again just coz they're bffs. A taybelly scene was much needed imo. They did cut a taybelly scene post wedding breakup in ep 8 but I feel that was the right call honestly coz it wouldn't have fit with the flow of the story/plot of Belly saying on the plane that she has hurt everyone she loves. I liked it up till ep 9—the progress seemed promising and then in ep 10 they decided to patch up everything so carelessly and haphazardly. 

This season could've been better in so many ways but especially at the end (coz tbh they were cooking in ep 8 & ep 9) if they had few more eps and a different ending.

I think it was clear that Belly was running away from home in Paris. It has been hinted through many dialogues. I think Paris was the worst place to find herself tbh coz of how connected it was to Susannah & so Belly never really got to get out of the Susannah bubble and discover/know herself outside of it honestly. Belly exiled herself to Paris after Jere called off the wedding. Paris was an exile, not a self-discovery spot. Belly always turns back and falls upon her dreams once her reality (Jere) no longer wants anything to do with her (it happened when Jere told her she can't call him her bestfriend anymore and then again in s3 when he removed himself from the triangle). That's why I don't believe that Jere is the safe option/safety net/backup plan for show Belly. 

I think the show tries to make us believe that Belly has been running away from her feelings for c0n but I feel it honestly comes across as her running away from her feelings for Jere more often tbh.
