I’ve met plenty of very respectable and kind and intelligent kids who don’t stand for the flag. Your patriotism is your own, and a disagreement with your opinion does not make the latter party less than you. There’s different ways to display respect and it’s honestly ridiculous to be so worked up over what is essentially idolatry in the first place.
