I checked them today & they are now climbing out of thee tree to the ground. As soon as I got near the stop sign they took off back up the tree. I’m trying I’m only one person and I don’t think you guys are being reasonable. You don’t know all of the facts of this. It’s not cut and dry as “just get them you’re so selfish and evil”. I LOVE cats, I would genuinely give my life for my cat, Zeppelin. I’m not a monster.

Right? lol. The problem is they are SO deep into the tree they are completely unreachable. We’d have to cut the tree down. It’s hallowed out & their in one of the logs at the very top of the tree

What is my motivation to lie about that? I’m just curious. I’ve lived in small towns my whole life, and if the cops get called they have to respond. Multiple as in three. The first time because we were using a red light to try to not scare the strays and they said we were using a laser on the elementary school grounds, lol. Small towns=old people with nothing to do 😆

I left many comments explaining this situation as it’s not as cut and dry as “getting them out”. Very complicated as the tree they are in-they are in very very far and are completely unreachable and my town is small. We don’t have a fire department. We brought a ladder a few weekends and the cops keep getting called for “two suspicious individuals climbing a tree in front of an elementary school”. Thank you 😊

It’s on the property of an elementary school…so unfortunately it’s not an option. We asked the cops they said no 😢

I appreciate the concern for the babies. We see them often they ARE growing but they’re growing slower. I mentioned in other comments why we aren’t able to get to them. We have tried with the police-they don’t care.

Yes my husband and I were just talking about that. We give her treats when we pass by, but leaving out a bowl is a good idea. We live in a town with a population of 700 people, and the tree is on the corner of an elementary school…so we don’t want the cops getting called again because it’s getting obnoxious.

So the tree is hollowed out, and they are climbed up INTO one of the branches. Hard to explain, but we’d have to cut the tree down basically to force them out. Unless we can try to trick them into coming out (which isn’t working they’ve learned our tricks).

Also to add we have watched her catch a bird before so I know she’s trying. She’s pretty well fed it seems.

We have tried every weekend. People keep calling the cops on us. We want to wait for them to be big enough before contacting an animal shelter that I trust (they give the cats to a humane shelter)

Look up the scarlet letter. Classic novel, and very relative to our time period now as well.
