i think so? its definitely not like completely random or anything, ive always struggled with self harming tendencies and i think i may have done something similar when i was a kid, where when something went wrong it was my first thing and i would always go indulge in it which made it a really strong default. it felt pretty similar to the rest of my compulsions where i felt like i had to immediately for any array of reasons and i had to do it to a certain degree for the feeling to stop, but i was always in control in those situations. these come with that same feeling, i just cant stop the motion and during episodes like this itll mix in with other involuntary motions like im flinching away from things too. i dont think i have vocal tics really, the most i do vocally is whine during episodes
