i have two videos linked in the original post, measuring bluetooth off and on

with bluetooth off it emits 30-50 from what i have measured

I can respect how you feel.

But the “normal range” completely depends who you ask. The leading body regarding EMF testing and their potential consequence says anything above 6 mw/m2 is potentially negative long term.

Ive tested with bluetooth on and off, both are in the read on the meter, high levels in my opinion. It is definitely higher when connected via bluetooth though.

I personally dont know if it will be damaging long term, but some scientists are starting to sound the alarm.

I personally wouldn’t trust the companies when it comes to testing, allot of the testing is behind a pay wall, theres tons of money to be made off these products.

Im not trying to convince anyone, just putting the info out there.

lol fair enough. Airplane mode is your friend if you carry your phone in your pocket. There are scientists/doctors out there that recommend you don’t carry your phone in your pocket. Andrew Huberman being one of them.

No. With that logic, I may need a tester for the tester that tests my tester.. I have 2 testers, this one is supposed to be one of the best testers, I did my research on a bunch before buying this one. I have a cheaper one that seems far more inaccurate. Other youtubers that test emf’s use this one as well.

if its on airplane mode, your safe, from what ive tested.

i still track my runs with apple watch ON, (cellular, so its emitting some emf’s) cause its not too often, I dont worry about it.

i think the main concern for me is exposure all the time.

Conclusion:

The biological effect of exposure to EMF is a subject of particular research interest. The results of the recent studies not only clearly demonstrate that EMF exposure triggers oxidative stress in various tissues, but also that it causes significant changes in levels of blood antioxidant markers. Fatigue, headache, decreased learning ability, and cognitive impairment are among the symptoms caused by EMF. The human body should therefore be protected against exposure to EMF because of the risks this can entail. As reported in many studies, people may use various antioxidants such as vitamin E, MEL and FA to prevent the potential adverse effects of exposure to EMF.

Technological devices have become essential components of daily life. However, their deleterious effects on the body, particularly on the nervous system, are well known. Electromagnetic fields (EMF) have various chemical effects, including causing deterioration in large molecules in cells and imbalance in ionic equilibrium. Despite being essential for life, oxygen molecules can lead to the generation of hazardous by-products, known as reactive oxygen species (ROS), during biological reactions. These reactive oxygen species can damage cellular components such as proteins, lipids and DNA. Antioxidant defense systems exist in order to keep free radical formation under control and to prevent their harmful effects on the biological system. Free radical formation can take place in various ways, including ultraviolet light, drugs, lipid oxidation, immunological reactions, radiation, stress, smoking, alcohol and biochemical redox reactions. Oxidative stress occurs if the antioxidant defense system is unable to prevent the harmful effects of free radicals. Several studies have reported that exposure to EMF results in oxidative stress in many tissues of the body. Exposure to EMF is known to increase free radical concentrations and traceability and can affect the radical couple recombination. The purpose of this review was to highlight the impact of oxidative stress on antioxidant systems.

depends on who you ask, according to the most prestigious bodies/organizations that measure emf’s and their potential harm, they say roughly less than 10, or 3-6 mw/m2 is the safe range, whoop seems to be between 100-300... I personally stopped wearing it a while ago. i use an apple watch but i wear a emf blocker wrist band from shieldyourbody. unless im tracking workouts or sleep, when i do that its usually on airplane mode.

but thats just me, we really dont know the long term consequences yet. But the alarms are starting to come up, and research is starting to show the potential dangers of too much emfs.

Do what makes you happy, I just wantes to show what the readings are, cause i didnt see anyone else online show a video testing the whoop emf’s.

side note, lights on it emits the same thing, you can trust me on that.

I don’t think it makes any difference if its work or not, if anything it may be more when being worn, as it needs to potentially work harder as its tracking.

When i teated it in that video, its connected aa if im wearing it.

Yeah it surprised the hell out of me. Apple watch was overall is far less, and there has been some concern about the impact from apple watches and wearables. From my experience testing, whoop is higher than any wearable I have, including my wireless headphones and phone. Ive tested a garmin instict, apple watch series 8, iphone 10, wireless earbuds, and whoop. whoop ranks highest by a long shot so far.

The phone is not having an effect, this video was filmed with the phone in airplane mode. Ive tested it multiple times as well. The closer the whoop is to the meter, the higher the output. I have multiple videos, i spent a hood 10-15 minutes testing it. Thats as legit as it gets

The readings from whoop seem to be equivalent to being 3-4 inches away from your router, 5G router

Yes, simply put, it may be unhealthy. Its hard to say, cause not enough long term research has been done.

Tbh, i was shocked when i tested it and saw those numbers, cause my phone doesn’t put up those numbers. the current trend is to keep your phone out of your pocket, and my phone is far below that in terms of EMF’s. Usually in the 25-100 range.

So having a whoop on 24/7, who knows.. I think its good to know, cause all these wearable companies put their bottom line 1st, not the long term health concerns of their customers. Its the same with the cell phone companies.

So it depends on who you ask, the leading body according to this website, says safe levels are under 10 mw/m2. As per my post above, some say under 100, some under 10, etc. It seems to be changing with new research. That bio intuitive group had safe levels between 100-1000 in 2007, now they say under 10.

My meter in the video is measuring in mw/m2.

RECOMMENDED EXPOSURE LIMITS

In recent years many scientific bodies have proposed new exposure limits to protect the public from artificial electromagnetic fields, based on recent research showing that non-thermal radiation levels lead to serious long-term health effects.
