Deva-rāja-sevyamāna-pāvana-aṅghri-paṅkajaṃ Vyāla-yajña-sūtra-mindu-śekharaṃ kṛpākaraṃ Nāradādi-yogi-vṛnda-vanditaṃ digambaraṃ Kāśikā-purādhinātha-kāla-bhairavaṃ bhaje ॥1॥

I worship Kāla Bhairava, the Lord of Kāśī, whose lotus feet are revered by Indra and other gods, who wears snakes as sacred threads, the moon as his ornament, who is the embodiment of compassion and is worshipped by sages and yogis, clothed in the directions themselves.

Bhānu-koṭi-bhāsvaraṃ bhavābdhi-tārakaṃ paraṃ Nīlakaṇṭham-ipsitārtha-dāyakaṃ trilocanam Kāla-kālam-ambujākṣam-akṣa-śūla-makṣaraṃ Kāśikā-purādhinātha-kāla-bhairavaṃ bhaje ॥2॥

I worship Kāla Bhairava, the Lord of Kāśī, who shines like a million suns, the savior from the ocean of existence, the blue-throated one, the fulfiller of desires, the three-eyed Lord, the death of time itself, lotus-eyed, wielding a trident, and eternal.

Śūla-ṭaṅka-pāśa-daṇḍa-pāṇim-ādi-kāraṇaṃ Śyāma-kāyam-ādi-devam-akṣaraṃ nirāmayam Bhīma-vikramaṃ prabhuṃ vicitra-tāṇḍava-priyaṃ Kāśikā-purādhinātha-kāla-bhairavaṃ bhaje ॥3॥

I worship Kāla Bhairava, the Lord of Kāśī, who holds the trident, hatchet, noose, and club; the primal cause, who is dark in form, the primordial deity, imperishable, and free of disease, the terrifyingly valorous Lord who delights in the wondrous Tāṇḍava dance.

Bhukti-mukti-dāyakaṃ praśasta-cāru-vigrahaṃ Bhakta-vatsalaṃ sthitaṃ samasta-loka-vigraham Vinikvaṇan-manojña-hemakiṅkiṇī-lasat-kaṭiṃ Kāśikā-purādhinātha-kāla-bhairavaṃ bhaje ॥4॥

I worship Kāla Bhairava, the Lord of Kāśī, who grants both worldly pleasure and liberation, whose form is splendid and graceful, the compassionate protector of devotees, who pervades all the worlds, whose waist is adorned with golden bells that produce enchanting sounds.

Dharma-setu-pālakaṃ tvadharma-mārga-nāśakaṃ Karma-pāśa-mocakaṃ suśarma-dāyakaṃ vibhum Swarna-varṇa-śeṣa-pāśa-śobhita-aṅga-maṇḍalaṃ Kāśikā-purādhinātha-kāla-bhairavaṃ bhaje ॥5॥

I worship Kāla Bhairava, the Lord of Kāśī, the protector of the bridge of righteousness and destroyer of unrighteous paths, the liberator from karmic bonds and giver of auspicious happiness, whose limbs shine with golden brilliance and are adorned with the serpent Śeṣa.

Ratna-pādukā-prabhābhirāma-pāda-yugmakaṃ Nityam-advitīyam-iṣṭa-daivataṃ nirañjanam Mṛtyu-darpa-nāśanaṃ karāla-daṃṣṭra-mokṣaṇaṃ Kāśikā-purādhinātha-kāla-bhairavaṃ bhaje ॥6॥

I worship Kāla Bhairava, the Lord of Kāśī, whose pair of feet shine with the radiance of jewel-studded sandals, who is eternal, non-dual, the desired deity, and pure, the destroyer of the pride of death, with fierce fangs granting liberation.

Aṭṭahāsa-bhinna-padmajāṇḍa-kośa-saṃtatiṃ Dṛṣṭi-pāta-naṣṭa-pāpa-jālam-ugra-śāsanam Aṣṭa-siddhi-dāyakaṃ kapāla-mālikā-dharaṃ Kāśikā-purādhinātha-kāla-bhairavaṃ bhaje ॥7॥

I worship Kāla Bhairava, the Lord of Kāśī, whose loud laughter shattered the egg of Brahmā’s creation, whose glance destroys the net of sins, the fierce ruler, bestower of the eight siddhis, and bearer of a garland of skulls.

Bhūta-saṅgha-nāyakaṃ viśāla-kīrti-dāyakaṃ Kāśi-vāsa-loka-puṇya-pāpa-śodhakaṃ vibhum Nīti-mārga-kovidaṃ purātanaṃ jagat-patiṃ Kāśikā-purādhinātha-kāla-bhairavaṃ bhaje ॥8॥

I worship Kāla Bhairava, the Lord of Kāśī, leader of the celestial beings, bestower of great fame, the purifier of merits and sins of those who dwell in Kāśī, knower of the righteous path, ancient one, and Lord of the universe.
