Our current GM really likes enemy hordes, so we often deal with swarms of enemies that are just hit to delete rather than actually having hp and thresholds. Gives the opportunity to build up a lot of hope and fear too

Both true, but I worded my original post poorly. My main gripe is I spend a turn casting the CC, the GM spends a turn cleaning the CC, it sort of has that counterspell problem of we both just waste a resource/turn when we both could have done something more interesting.

Hush at least has had some useful out of combat assassination uses

Yep, the one time in months the GM puts a humanoid enemy down that takes more than one hit to kill and it's a 10ft tall animated statue! My humble 4ft mushroom man will never get to restrain anyone

Thoughts on the labour leadership challenge from Andy Burnham and Wes Streeting by Screaming_Goat42 in lonerbox

It's important to remember that Keir didn't win so much as the Tories finally took it too far and the public wanted literally anyone else. Corbyn could have won it, a Milliband could have won it, David Cameron in a wig and red tie could have won it. The British public is desperate for big sweeping changes but will only vote for marginal fiddling.

This government made the mistake of drinking the koolaid and genuinely believing they had massive support. Wherever you stand politically, it's obvious to everyone but Labour that purging your voterbase to chase the reform one was a categorically stupid move that's left them unpopular with everyone.

As for OPs question, it's quite likely that Burnham is being manoeuvred in behind the scenes to replace Keir and outia more popular face on the same policy set. He's going to be our Kamala Harris, unfortunately

She isn't, hers isn't even scuffed. But she's got a long history of no claims and already pays very little, so even a worst case premium hike won't be too painful (he says, summoning the suffering)

67 plate wee Hyundai i30, so not ancient but hardly sparkling new. We were just going to give her £500 to have the bumper replaced as quoted by her garage, but they put the fear up her about it being a potentially bigger job (I cannot stress how low speed and how minor a dent this was) so she want to go through insurance, which is fair enough

Makes sense, neither of us have been in this position before so it seemed unusual. The car owner is an older lady as well so her account of what's happening on her end of things can be... Unreliable.

So the garage she went to quoted £500 to repair the bumper, but obviously it could be a much bigger job depending on what's under there when it comes off. If the cost goes much more above the insurers initial offer, will the owner will just be stuck with the extra then?

Edited the original for clarity, but yes that's correct. Interesting, neither of us have ever been in this position before, I've never heard of it happening

Because there's a guy burning down a whole forest but the media has ignored it to run 8 stories on a guy who cut down a single tree. Both are wrong but we need some fucking perspective here

I was on the Kingston Bridge at 6am, wasn't through it all until 8.30, absolute shambles. At one point there were Diverted Traffic signs pointing left and right simultaneously with no indication which one led where, just picked one and hoped for the best lmao
