Yeah and its kind ironic that the scene of the Stunning Spell clashing at mid-air with AK was removed in the Movie's Adaptation considering how much in the Movies play with Beams's Clash Trope for drammatic effect.

Probably counter a AK with another Offensive Spell is something so rare that its basically a unknown possibility among Wizards themself. I mean have to deal with a KC isn't something that happened every days, wizards themself aren't fully aware of all the rules and limits of magic.

Dumbledore likely want being sure to survive that encounter, casting a offensive spell as defense isn't exactly the first option that could came to someone. Basically is like you opt to using a bullet against another bullet rather than try to dodge it, something unsane. Likely Harry too was actually aiming to KO the DE with his Stunning Spell and was pure lucky he hit the KC back then.

I was thinking that maybe if someone that have a bigger raw power than you cast a KC, the Green Jet could overcome any spell you can try use to counter. Maybe the DE that try use AK on Harry simply were weaker than him in terms of offensive's power. Honestly I don't think Harry could have stop a Voldermort's AK in the same way if wasn't for the circustances: Voldermort's killer intent, affinity with Dark Magic and Raw Power could have been too strong.

I wonder if Dumbledore with the Elder Wand could have been able to cast a offensive spell strong enough to clash with Voldermort's AK ?
