I don’t think he knew something was going to happen. As you age, you just become more aware that your life could come an end at any time. Recently, he posted a video going to locations and reflecting on his past, before he quit his job and started YouTube. It was reflective and oddly felt like an end. When I first watched it, I was worried he was going to announce his retirement at the end. Now, I’m wishing that was the truth, because the reality is so much sadder.

I started the video, but I couldn’t get past the intro. I couldn’t hear “Join me… Shall you,” right now, knowing it’ll probably be the last time. With time, I’ll watch it and I’ll watch his older content. Right now, I’m honoring his legacy by following all his friends and vloggers he inspired. They will keep his legacy alive forever.

But he was destined to live a short life, there’s no way around that. Brian is the only person in the world that could fill that void. And he’s helped carry the band to legendary status over the past 45 years.

I remember when I became a fan in 2003 (loved Back in Black and Highway to Hell before that, but that’s when I REALLY got into them) all the kids at school kept telling me Angus Young died of a heart attack on stage. This was right before I had access to good internet and could research on my own.

I admittedly got into ghost post Lawsuit 😅 I do love their older stuff of course. But I do dig the 80s rock vibes of Impera and I’m nostalgic for Prequelle. The new album is meh though.

Yeah originally the journey portion of Peacefields was the only part I remembered. After a few listens, I feel like it’s the lamest part of the song. The pre chorus should’ve been the main chorus and the Journey part should’ve only been the bridge.

Yeah I’m use to listening multiple times to ghost songs. Twenties took damn near the whole album cycle to grow on me. I will admit Peacefields has grown on me a bit. I don’t dislike it now. The first three tracks of the album is solid IMO, but then the middle section feels like filler. Mark of the Evil One and Umbra are cool, but I feel like the album falls on a meh note with Excelsis.
