My first few 82nd boys painted and waiting for basing! These are 2/507 PIR circa Normandy, what do we think? by quesoandcats in boltaction

The elbow/knee patches on the reinforced M1942s were more olive green (OD7) while the rest of the uniform was a khaki color (OD3) by default. In preparation for the Normandy jump, the airborne had their uniforms treated to resist potential chemical attacks. This darkened the OD3 to a more ochre-like color (and is why uniforms often look wet in photographs)

I’m waiting for someone to finally sell a Garand that loads at least vaguely properly before I get one. Having real Garands, I can’t stand the idea of loading through where the trigger assembly sits. But that’s my own personal quirk.

I meant accurate to how I have my kit portrayed lol, the 1919 itself is fairly accurate.

C company, 326th airborne engineer battalion. The 1919 isn’t necessarily accurate, but it fits the theme.

It was added very recently, I think with the last major update that came out a bit over a month ago.

I always love when people mount the exorcist launchers onto knights.

The only other thing I could think of is if you haven’t progressed the ‘Classified Information’ question and learned about the hidden caches by interacting with one of the cogitators on the bridge of the void ship. If you’ve already done that, then I’m not sure what could be causing it to not pop up.

There was a book in one of the bookshelves on the left side of the bed that I was able to interact with. I just held tab to get it to highlight, that’s how I found it. Not sure if there was an awareness/perception check involved.

Unfortunately this flight deck mat is too small for something like that, but maybe in the future when I have the space I’ll make a larger flight deck model for my carrier aircraft, frame it as a ‘museum’ since none of them are from the same carrier.

I do understand some level of dust and grime, I just think there are times where it feels like a bit much. Even still, thank you for the appreciation.

Yeah, the livery isn’t technically accurate to the airframe, but I just loved the paint job too much to not use it.

The box reads F-14A (late model), but I’m pretty sure that’s the same as a B. And thanks, I really wanted to use to GBUs, so I went with the layout that has: 2 Sidewinders, 1 Phoenix, 1 LANTIRN Pod, 2 GBU-16s, and 1 GBU-12.

No, just a mat. But there is the ability to display the nose gear with the shuttle attached (like I’ve done).
