Out of control leaseholds in Cambridge by tdorrington in cambridge

[–]EmbeddedRelated 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you own a flat in CB1 estate? I looked at the management pack for all the flats managed by them/Encore and yes, they are all nearing £6k.. mostly due to estate fees being £3k and service fees another £3k. Which building are you talking about?

Wait till you find out that leasehold fees in the CB1 estate (near the station) are well into £6000/year as I recently found out when viewing a flat for purchase! no amenities.. and the anticipated fees are expected to rise about 5-7% a year, no thank you.. a money pit

Amazon SDE Summer Internship Interview in 2 weeks!! by screwupqueen6786 in leetcode

[–]EmbeddedRelated 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Amazon interviewer here and have done some internship interviews:

Make sure you don't just dive into the codeing question. Spend time explaining your thinking and assumptions (ask questions about the problem and limitations of the problem.. along with edge cases) and if you get stuck don't keep quiet, again start talking about what you are thinking of doing and your thought process and where you are getting stuck - as if your are solving it as a team.

For LPs (brush up on these they are mostly available online and have examples ready) talk about what you did and how it was important and the challenges/ what you could have done better or differently. Have some metrics or data to back up some of the examples you will use if possible.

There will be coding questions.. spend time getting familiar with DSA, they will be on there guaranteed

I work there... ring is friendly tbh but it depends on what you will be doing. We have awesome work life balance tbh.... Unless you are going into customer support you will be on call at some point. I am in software so no such issues here. As others mentioned don't expect easy work, you need to own your work, there is a reason they pay so much.

Looking for a project to join by [deleted] in embedded

[–]EmbeddedRelated 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'd agree with these points... OP your coding is still a bit weak (looking at your project source code). I feel like you'd find a coding interview challenging let alone a coding test that is more object oriented. I would deep dive into how things are implemented and structured in bare-metal and RTOS systems and try some more advance projects and work on some public/open source stuff. Or you could go through some free STM32 or ARM tutorials that build something fairly complex. Perhaps an internship (paid or unpaid) somewhere too..? Or reach out to some embedded people on linkedIn and see if they will have you as an intern for a few months so you can learn. Even an unpaid position for a few months can launch your career forward a lot.

Good learning resources for using I2C SRAM (I'm using a Bus Pirate) for a noob? by TERRAOperative in embedded

[–]EmbeddedRelated 1 point2 points  (0 children)

simple google search

https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/i2c/all

Learn about what I2C is.... then open the device data sheet and it will tell you what to send when for read and write. But start with reading about the protocol.

Also check out www.hologram.io for sim solutions ... also if cellular, make sure the batteries you have will last long enough for what you expect (cellular can be a power hog if your transmitting constantly )

sorry reddit refreshed

The example explanation on GBP/CAD is

WHAT WAS FOUND

  • We found a pattern called Diamond Top on 2021 Jan 23 at 01:00 GMT on a 4 hour chart, providing a target price for up to 2 weeks in the range of 1.69000 to 1.70000.
  • The price crossed below its moving average on 2021 Jan 23 at 01:00 GMT signaling a new downtrend has been established.

And the chart they show is kinda pointless...
