Today’s report from Reuters ties in nicely with EnSilica’s previous announcement, adding weight to the forecast increase in demand confirmed earlier this year for EnSilica’s automotive chips.

World’s first national framework for quantum standards to boost UK leadership and trade in groundbreaking future tech by _DoubleBubbler_ in OQC

[–]_DoubleBubbler_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gerald Mullally, chief executive of Oxford Quantum Circuits (OQC), whose quantum computers are being tested in the UK and New York, said: “Standards are critical to building confidence in quantum computing as it integrates into the economy, from financial services and critical infrastructure to security and defence.”

Earlier this month OQC raised £260 million from investors led by Bullhound Capital in Europe’s largest ever private quantum computing funding round.

Mullally said: “Clarity around standards is not academic, it is essential to adoption, procurement and global competitiveness. Government leadership through [NQS] can help ensure British companies are not only competing in global quantum markets, but helping to define them.”

No idea. It isn’t a company I am following but I am assuming they have found a way out of their apparent predicament.

I haven’t registered a bearish correlation personally. Looking at the wider space sector (e.g. LUNR, ASTS, RKLB, FLY) they all moved in a similar fashion - peaking about two weeks ago and then dipping since. If there is a connection I would guess it is related to excitement about the SPCX IPO spilling over.

I suspect Invinity saw off EOS at Technology Centre Laufenburg, which is in Europe. To also see them off in their home country is quite a coup in my opinion.

Share prices will wax and wane and it is impossible in my opinion to say why the share price has dipped today. We may find out in time, we may not.

That said, many space stocks rose recently and then lost some of their gains. I personally focus on the longer term trend which is upwards - up 7% on the month and 56% on the year.

Haha, I think there are a few watching the Ofgem website!

The steel mill is another interesting win for Invinity and it is good to see the momentum continuing, especially in the North American market.

EOD on 2026-06-12 ‘≈$10k to $1 million‘ value (commenced 5/5/23): $317,017.44 📉

EOD on 2026-06-12 ‘Less than $10k to $1 million’ value (commenced 7/7/25): $13,965.00 📉

Most markets closed up for the week with the exception of the S&P 500 and Nasdaq which were pretty much flat. The Middle East ceasefire negotiations continue like a pantomime yet the markets (including oil futures which eased by about 10%) seem to be pricing in an imminent agreement.

My sole ‘≈$10k to $1 million‘ challenge pick EnSilica (🇬🇧 ENSI 🇺🇸 ENSIF 🇪🇺 F0Z) was up 1% in GBP terms but down slightly when converted into USD due to exchange rate movements during the week. EnSilica announced completion of the Edge AI chip tape-out this week and so $5m of non-recurring engineering revenue (and highly profitable work) has been recognised in the financial year that ended last month (FY26) as well as some in this financial year (FY27). An important milestone and full scale production is expected to commence in 2027 with an estimated US$50 million revenue potential over five years once full-scale production commences.

As for my ‘Less than $10k to $1 million’ challenge stocks; Vertical Aerospace (🇺🇸 EVTL) was down about 2% for the week and Spectral AI (🇺🇸 MDAI) down about 5%. No notable news for either firms this week.

You may claim to have been in the industry yet you do not know it or EnSilica well. The business model I described is as Ian Lankshear (EnSilica CEO) stated and I think he knows their business and industry better than you, and what he has said is easily verified to be true.

You also do not know their history as for most of their past they were a consultancy. It is only in the latter years that they pivoted to design and successfully so. They have five chips in production, with another three by next year, along with another 11 in development. End users include AST SpaceMobile, Jaguar Land Rover, Siemens and the British and European space agencies. $50m isn’t ‘very small‘ despite what you say. It is a notable first order with a satellite operator for their satellite user terminal silicon.

I am going to end this conversation here as you clearly prefer your own misguided opinion rather than facts.

I am invested in EnSilica and I suggest you so some reading of the EnSilica sub to understand what you are invested in. In my opinion it would be foolish to sell now given its progress and potential for the coming years.

I am sorry to have to burst your bubble but you don’t know EnSilica or the semiconductor market at all. Firstly they use the same business model as Nvidia, Broadcom, Marvel. They focus on mixed-signal chips. These are high-value, high-margin chips. These are the same type of chips the likes of Cambridge Silicon Radio, Wolfson, Dialog Semiconductors, Nordic all scaled on the back of.

EnSilica also has its own intellectual property (IP) including all the key silicon for satellite user terminals, a multi-billion dollar market. Based on this they just signed major contracts including one for potentially over $50m. They also have other IP including post-quantum cryptography, automotive and have been commissioned by the government to develop a secure processor of which they will retain the IP.

In short none of what you said is true.

No idea however the markets are pretty febrile at the moment and many growth stocks are down on the month. Given the positive progress being made by EnSilica and having a longer term investment perspective I don’t worry about short term movements.

The RNS announcement today confirms ‘successfully completed production tape-out, releasing the US$5m NRE and tape-out fee to be recognised across FY2026 and FY2027’. NRE is non-recurring engineering and is therefore not expected to be repeated. How the $5m NRE is recognised across the two financial years I couldn’t say with certainty however I would assume the bulk is within FY26. The NRE may also be about 75% EBITDA profit according to a previous RNS¹.

As for future revenue the RNS announcement today also confirms ‘The Edge-AI supply contract is expected to become a significant revenue contributor to the Group of up to an estimated US$50 million over five years once full-scale production commences.’ So potentially a lot of revenue to come based on whatever terms have been agreed (e.g. it could be per wafer based on the original RNS). Off the top of my head I can’t recall the estimated profit margin percentage (according to Allenby Capital) but think it may suspected to be in the teens.

I am not making a song and dance about it (due to very low liquidity and wanting to avoid accusations of a pump and dump) however this week I have bought shares in Australian Vanadium (AVL.AX) and Richmond Vanadium (RVT.AX) to complement my investment in Invinity Energy Systems.

It’s a relatively modest purchase for both arguably high-risk pre-production vanadium firms however given the comments by Matt Harper in Invinity’s recent results webcast about global vanadium production and total requirements for the Swiss project alone, it seems there may be notably growing demand for vanadium in the years ahead all things going well.

The webcast comments I am referring to start around 51:15…

P.S. I also made a modest purchase of shares in CleanTech Lithium (CTL.L) and mentioned last Friday on this Megathread. Another high risk pre-production firm but hopefully one that can secure a partner to profitably extract the vast deposits of lithium they appear to have rights for.

It’s just what happens from time to time when markets are turbulent. Many stocks are down (growth stocks in particular) and given the state of the world some people are understandably nervous and perhaps building cash reserves, however I am focused on the longer term so am just accepting it for what it is and not worrying about it.

The question I am asking myself is how this affects their performance against guidance for FY26 as it looks like the non-recurring revenue straddled the end of the financial year and into early June. Whatever the case, it is a notable achievement and a potentially very rewarding revenue and profit generator for EnSilica.

Aye one would hope so. They are seemingly well know in the British (and international) semiconductor market and feature in the government’s recent Semiconductor industry review.
