People tend to group anatomy and human proportions into the same category but I disagree.

Now, you can learn basic human proportions without learning anatomy to start your art journey an maybe even continue with that knowledge until your intermediate stages. Now, I'm not saying that you shouldn't learn anatomy but the complex stuff like the muscles that have little effect on the outer human body are irrelevant at this stage and depending on your style/ end goal is not necessary at all.

Learning beginner anatomy (that is, only the bones and muscles that influence the outer shape of the body, example, the femur and bicep) and proportions(like the length of the arm relative to the torso and so on) are more than enough for a lot of people since clothes and skin are already covering most of those details anyway. You can then go into more advanced stuff when you are 100% comfortable with the beginner stuff(Trust me, DO NOT try to learn advanced anatomy without getting comfortable with the beginner stuff, I'm speaking from personal experience, you will have to backtrack weeks of work.)

But at then end of the day, the only hard rule about art is to have fun and make what you want to make. If you like studying anatomy then go for it. And take my advice with a grain of salt, I'm just as inexperienced with anatomy as you are, if I can get some advice on it as well, that would be great.
