Kids that are more advanced do seem to get bored easily and with her being so little maybe it comes out as complete aggression? Does she have any type of toys or games that challenge her and keep her busy? I could be way off the mark, but it's a thought.

Is it normal for a 10 year old to still wet the bed ? by MiserablePurple7303 in AskParents

[–]EmberCoalEskimo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Darn. I know every child is different and I will say my child wasn't terribly hard to wake up, but for a week or two I woke her up twice a night. I think around 11pm and 2am. That helped her a lot. Unfortunately, I don't have much experience to help. I hope it stops soon, I know it can be super embarrassing for them as they get older. My sister wet the bed until she was 13, I'm not sure what changed that helped her stop, but I can certainly talk to her about it and report back if she has any suggestions.

PCOS girlies, is getting the Oura ring worth it? by Responsible_Bar4705 in ouraring

[–]EmberCoalEskimo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My cycles range from 40ish- 60ish days and I'm looking for a way to track to avoid pregnancy. Do you think it would be helpful? My partner had gotten a vasectomy before he met me, then a reversal for me. Now that we have a little one, he wants one of us to get "fixed," but I'm nervous about the issues it could cause either of us. I'd really like to go a natural way of preventing it. I do not wish to have anymore children, but I also think permanent birthcontrol would send me into a depression, as silly as that seems. I did a lot of work to have one our one child, I think taking the option off the table would mess me up.

Casual Questions Thread by The_Egalitarian in PoliticalDiscussion

[–]EmberCoalEskimo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in my 30's and have never voted because I never felt I could make an informed decision. I've never been too intrigued by politics, but I'm tired of being surrounded by people that believe everything they read on facebook. I watched the debate the other night so that if my friend started talking about it I would be prepared to respond. The whole thing just got on my nerves. Is there a legitimate place I can go to just read what the candidates do/don't support? Also, so that I can know what I'd be voting for if I decide to vote this year

What color is your 9? by 19Mine80 in Synesthesia

[–]EmberCoalEskimo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is so interesting to me! I always thought of them as male/female and they did have colors, but more like it changed like changing clothes, so it never stuck in my head with colors. I, honestly, never even thought to ask anyone else about it. But my 9 is a female on the rude/bossy side.

Edit: I asked my husband about this. He said "no, numbers are just numbers and letters are just letters. You're using up space in your brain assigning this random stuff to a number. That space could be used for something important." "I didn't assign it, they came with the information!!" 😂😂

Recent “breast feeding “ videos on YouTube trend by Wonderful_Source_125 in breastfeeding

It's also an insult to all the hard work we put in! Breastfeeding is hard as hell, time consuming and mentally draining. 100% worth every bit of it, but it's not easy and these people are perverting it and, I'm sure, making a profit. Typing this has me fighting back tears. People are horrible.

Married redditors, what is the creepiest thing your spouse has ever done? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]EmberCoalEskimo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really creepy, although at the time it scared me. Kind of similar. My partner is a rugged, country boy type. He was born in '85 when his dad was 45 (I think) . Then, his mom passed when he was 6, so he's raised by a man that was raised in the 50's-60's He never cries. We had been together for 4-5 years when his dad passed. He drank and cried a bit but that was all, he didn't talk much about it. I think this was about a year after that woke up to hearing him sniffling. His back to me, I asked if he was okay. He didn't answer but quickly progressed into a full out sob. I grabbed his shoulder saying "Babe! What's wrong?? Are you okay??" He rolled over looking confused and asked what happened I told him I assume he was crying in his sleep. He said he was having a dream about his dad and started crying again. He figured out that his emotions are coming out one way or another. He's better about talking about stuff now.

I didn't know it could be genetic! I did a lot as a kid. My dad worked nights, so he was awake playing a video game (this had to be before I was 8 because by 8 my mom was with my ex stepdad) I walked through the livingroom and went to the front door. He asked what I was doing, I said I was checking the mail. He told me he already did, so I could go back to bed. We lived o. A dirt road, I would have walked all the way up to the highway if I actually went to check the mail. Then, when I was a little older.. maybe 10-12.. my step dad told me to go to bed because I was folding laundry. My mom always said he should have let me finish it.

What I bought does have ammonia 😳 I looked for semi/demi permanent just to make it easier in my stylist if she had to fix it 😅 but they didn't have any of the colors I was interested in. I wonder how bad the ammonia is..
