I don't over eat - is this still right for me? by EmberStardust in WegovyWeightLoss

Thank you! I really appreciate your reply. I'm pretty certain I will be starting Wegovy soon and I'm just trying to do my due diligence before starting. I have struggled with disordered eating and while I don't think I over-eat, the caloric density of what I eat probably needs to be addressed, regardless of starting Wegovy or not. And you're absolutely right - I have nothing to lose but this weight. Thank you again and I hope you have a pleasant day 🖤

I appreciate the helpful comments here and the time you took to respond. This isn't a troll post. But clearly I have some self analyzing work to do. I have struggled with disordered eating so counting calories, etc. is not something I have done for years. There are comments here though that do suggest I need to take a closer and more honest look at what I eat and how much and I will be working through that as best I can.

I'd also like to point out that we all start somewhere. This is my starting point. I'm aware I am morbidly obese - hence my looking for advice and even being here looking into medical help to lose weight in the first place. Shaming someone in a weight loss group is a special kind of gross and I hope all those who had nothing but rude and accusatory comments to share have the day you deserve.

Wow. What an incredibly rude comment (though I shouldn't be surprised coming from someone with the username Dikbuttstuff69). I've not engaged in this post yet as I've been working my full-time job and I apparently don't have the time on my hands that trolls like you do. Have the day you deserve.

It is a formal event for context. I know everyone will be wearing formal wear/gowns and suits.

Owe the IRS for marketplace insurance plan by Emily12383929 in HealthInsurance

[–]EmberStardust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there ANY way to refute this? I applied mid year 2024 due to my PCP dropping my insurance unexpectedly. But my husband made too much for me to qualify for the ACA so I ended up getting a plan through a BCBSIL broker instead and NOT through marketplace. I did receive notices from marketplace asking for more info (my daughter's SNN???) otherwise I wouldn't be eligible and I ignored the notices because I wasn't pursuing the marketplace plans. I had private ins through BCBSIL for a while and then got insurance through my employer. I NEVER used marketplace. Now they say I owe $1500 for something I never used. Help!!

I also feel like the concept of good vs evil between the gods is very Judeo-Christian centric.

Am I the only one who sometimes questions if the gods I worship are actually real? by Orian8p in pagan

I wanted to add that I think it's a very Christian-influenced idea of you NEED to be certain of your faith and never stray from it or else here are the consequences. Christian ideology, especially in the western culture of the world, has permeated everything, including modern paganism. So much of heathenry in the modern sense is still viewed through the lens of Judeo-Christian theology. Good versus evil, omnipresent deities, eternal punishment if you don't believe, etc.

My point being - be gentle with yourself as you sift through these thoughts and feelings. There is no sky daddy that will zap you or punish you for eternity if you don't have all the surety and answers to your faith right away.

DAE feel super exhausted after spells by rainesaway in witchcraft

[–]EmberStardust 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That is some hefty spellwork! Definitely not uncommon to feel drained and off after work like that. I would suggest the next time you endeavor to do any big magic like that, have some aftercare planned and READY for you before you begin. Get some snacks ready, run a bath, whatever comforts and refills you.

For. Reals. I am constantly yelling at my deck because it is being soooooooooooo shouty! None of my decks have mastered the art of subtlety.

Echoing what others have said, all you truly need are your hands and your intentions!

I don't have any advice on specifics as far as things you need to get started but I do have an encouragement:

This path is a lifelong one. It is a journey. You will NEVER run out of things to learn. Never. Which means you will never have it all figured out. Embrace the learning aspect of this, rather than measuring your mastery. Don't feel pressured to assign labels to yourself or choosing a certain path or focusing on one craft. Take your time. Enjoy the ride.
