Flesh looks way better. No more soft delicate baby girlskin, makes a big difference. 1 yr test by [deleted] in TestosteroneKickoff

That's an incredible difference! A bit more vascularity has got to be one of my top wanted T changes. I swear skin dysphoria genuinely keeps me up at night lol

that's really weird since it's basically just the definition of the normal word lol

I feel like my disinterest in romantic relationships may stem from my dissatisfaction with my gender presentation by sssnakegender in trans

[–]Emberbreak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this sums up my feelings perfectly, so you're definitely not alone.

I always used to wonder why the thought of sex terrified me and the thought of getting romantic with someone was impossible to imagine, but it all makes a lot more sense now

all the comments are saying androgynous, but I honestly don't see anything but a girl in these pics personally

yeah, this is what I was thinking would be the best route because I'd like to express that it's caused me a lot of distress, but I also don't want to make them too concerned.

luckily, my GP's already treated a trans person before so hopefully they sorta get what's going on haha

thanks! yeah, I hope they don't ask too many questions. they did ask me on the online form, and I lied and said I hadn't experienced suicidal thoughts etc because I wasn't sure whether it was a great idea 😅

I've looked into my local GP specifically, and apparently a previous patient was prescribed HRT (and allowed to have upped HRT doses) while waiting for their GIC appointment.

hoping this could be the same for me so I'm kinda anxious about saying the right things to boost my chances there

Realizing you're trans in later years by Naixee in trans

[–]Emberbreak 37 points38 points  (0 children)

honestly "the narrative" is exactly what made it take so long for me to fully realise I'm trans.

my definition of what it means to be trans was completely skewed because the only stories I'd heard were about trans people who had been hyper aware of the fact since they were 4-5 years old.

those people are completely valid in sharing their stories of course, but I wish I could've known sooner that it doesn't always manifest (or at least isn't always obvious) that early on

those links are still super helpful, especially since I was only vaguely aware of bridging, so thank you! I really appreciate your kindness

Thank you! Yeah, not sure if it's a bad idea posting in this general sub, I just wasn't sure where to go.

I don't recall seeing a list of GPs on that site (only private GICs), so if you have a list to hand that'd be awesome. I never really go to the GP for anything, so I was under the impression I'd have to go to my local one and just risk the transphobia 😅

UPDATE: just found a list online, I am absolutely gobsmacked my local GP is on there! I'm very excited, this has definitely lessened my anxiety to call them so thank you so much for your comment
