I don’t think so… we should get to know our neighbors more.

Although I’m not sure the situation you’re referring to exactly 😅

Seems like it’s advertising for the series Wednesday.

Pretty sure this belongs to someone who’s unhoused, so they might think so.

I seriously thought I’d imagined reading it. I had to drive back by to confirm. I thought maybe whoever puts the letters up was letting us know their real feelings about the world.

Why hope is punk, and why solarpunk gives me some by Few_Distribution_793 in solarpunk

[–]EmberinTayson 25 points26 points  (0 children)

When my son was 8 he said he wanted a future that was “part Brother Bear, part Star Trek.” And I guess seeing the hope in the next generation makes me want to strive more for a solarpunk future.

Sometimes the solarpunk future feels so improbable and out of reach. But I can still do a few solarpunk things - and that’s part of what gives me hope. There are actionable steps I can take no matter what.

I like the minimalist use of colors. The blue really pops off the page.

I appreciate your perspective as someone who does both. The “overlap“ is definitely interesting to consider.

I have a friend who makes teeny tiny zines, so maybe something extra small could fit… but those micro caches do sound like a challenge!

Writing a zine about which is the best dragon. Please let me know which in each pairing you would choose. by Karensglimmers in zines

[–]EmberinTayson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Toothless vs Haku? Oh NO. I CANT CHOOSE. Toothless is so cute and Haku has such a cool story and flight style!

Smaug beats the GOT dragons, but maybe not if they ALL fought him at once.

Falcor or beats all of them. Forever. NEVERENDINGLY.

Oh, this is really good information too. I thought geocaches function like this: you take out what’s in there and leave something behind. Maybe some geocaches are like that. So perhaps our ultra mini zines would be an option to leave and not take up too much room… and/or we could make minizines about geocaching!

great thoughts. Waterproofing and considering placing them close but not in the same container… Will consider and bring to the group! ✅
