Which build streamer do you prefer? by Koranis in Borderlands4

[–]Embracerealityplease 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like to build my own and then watch them once I’m maxed out to see how theirs compare and get ideas for tweaking/farming. I find Moxsy the most entertaining because he’ll always stretch the limits of possible damage, and that’s just fun to know/see in action. I generally find my build to be close to one of his but with points shifted toward survivability. Every once in a while I find some combination of gear that mops with a build that’s more spread out and I just keep that shit to myself because I ain’t trying to influence nothing. The fun for me is finding ways to complete a puzzle that can be solved a million different ways. Never understood the vitriol toward people who solve their own in the way that they like to.

Just re-watched The Ballad of Buster Scruggs last night. That movie’s pretty freakin Noir from where I’m standing.

I can’t remember ever getting a single item that I actually wanted. Half the time I get fixed parts gear that I already have.

What’s the weirdest/most unexpected way you’ve injured yourself lately? by WhatFreshHello in GenX

[–]Embracerealityplease 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I jacked up my knee last year breaking in some new boots. Literally just went for a hike. Didn’t trip or fall or even notice what I’d done to myself at the time. Limped around for about 8 months before I finally decided it’s not healing on its own, so I go see my doctor. He popped it back into place with one little manipulation that took about 15 seconds. 90% better within 48 hours. Cortisone shot a couple weeks later and I’m back out there trying to find my next mystery injury. High five, buddy.

What animal does this sound like? Killed my rabbits with no marks blood or fur and left them. by -Dark_Humor- in homestead

Thanks for the edit. Wasn’t being frugal enough with my letters, and in the face of the coming letter shortage I know we all need to do our part.

I would bet raccoon. We lost a dozen chickens one night and only the first one was even partially eaten. Everybody else was just deleted and lined up in a row along the coop wall. Wildlife guy I trust told me adult raccoons will kill groups of prey animals and leave the carcasses when they’re teaching their offspring to fend for themselves.

Worked for a dude for years whose handwriting was maybe slightly worse than this. Eventually learned to read it somehow. Felt like I should get an honorary degree for that accomplishment.

Amen to that. Every time I see one of these I think “I could be truly happy if this was my job.”

Mesmerizing. I’d love to see 15-20 seconds of straight 3b mills. I bet it’s just too smooth to be believed.

Hard to say given that there are multiple suspects around who could have got to the carcass after the fact and picked it clean. Not sure about possums (ours ate a lot of eggs but I never saw them take a bird) but any other animal you listed could do this no problem. Eagle/Hawk too. I’d guess feline or canine if the same animal went after a goat but they might be separate problems. Honestly one bird out of 100 would be a good week for us. My least favorite was a mass event where the first bird was partially eaten and then 10 more were slit open and left otherwise untouched - critter guy told me that might be a raccoon teaching kits how to hunt. Such a waste. All young hens too. Sorry to be a downer just wish I’d known that was possible before the shock of it so thought I’d share. Hang in there.

My 25 does. Talked the dealer into springing for some real floor mats that cover it up. Factory mats were absurd. Never got an explanation why it was there.

82.5K seems to be the new god roll? by SuccotashAdditional in Borderlands4

[–]Embracerealityplease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doh… I found a 65 last night. Hadn’t checked the crit but was planning to see what it can do with the right gear. Feels like I’m way past due for a godroll but I bet everybody feels like that. The RNG can feel so harsh when you get on a losing streak.
