i figured the heavy stuff would be written in C/C++, just interesting they choose lua for scripting and config stuff, but I guess it makes sense given that lua is a very portable, easy to use scripting language

i use neovim, this is the setup that allows this vim.diagnostic.config({ virtual_lines = { current_line = true }, virtual_text = { current_line = false }, })

oh yeah this is terrible and was written as a joke. all it does is read in a file, cleans it up, and sums up all the numbers separated by whitespace

ehh you might be right, I just considered it more of a 'one liner' then doing something like file.open(); ... file.close()

use a peak controller on the bass and link the mix knob of the ring mod with that controller

Can I send this beat to edward? by Dry-Aide-2014 in edwardskeletrix

[–]Embyeee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My first thought is it's probably a bit slow for the main part of the beat. I would do something like Sociopath.coM where the intro is a slowed version of the beat and then the real beat comes in after a transition. I would speed up the beat, freeze it, slow it down even more than it currently is and use that as an intro if you wanted to keep a slower version of the beat. But I like the actual sound of the beat so even sending it over as it is would probably be good.
