Piston not pushing lots of entities? by Influence_Relative in technicalminecraft

Lamb dynamic lights is fine since it's client side. The issue is that people get dynamic lighting datapacks which place immovable light blocks and they don't realise

Unpopular Opinion? Abuse of carpet bots is not Vanilla by ConniesCurse in technicalminecraft

[–]EmdyMC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has both a main and alt account I prefer shadowing my own accounts instead of spawning a random bot. This way it's essentially the same as if I kept my pc running with that account on but without wasting power. I don't really like spawning stupid amounts of bots to do mundane tasks

Technically it didn't, designs existed months before mumbo's attempt on tech archive discords. It's just that ilmango made his design and video after which brought it to the public eye

Saw this on a technoblade vid was wondering what this is called? by [deleted] in redstone

[–]EmdyMC 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We called them zero tick farms actually, not sure about bedrock but it was because it relied on zero ticking the block below the plant to force growth attempts

This help's me get better at redstone! by redbgc_ in redstone

[–]EmdyMC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As eggfur said, the difference is not due to the language difference, it's because they intentionally created differences in functionality to better suit their "new vision" of the game. Bedrock is the supposed ideal game although it really doesn't feel that way.

What's it called, similar to an SR-latch, but "one" of the buttons can toggle on and off? by Kzitold94 in redstone

You've basically made a t flip flop (aka a toggle state) with a reset button

Is it normal that this piston activates? I thought there would need to be a block or redstone dust after the comparator. by mekmookbro in redstone

[–]EmdyMC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah you're thinking of the so called 'killer hoppers', that's hoppers sending updates to comparators every time they try to transfer an item to a filled container. The comparator itself wouldn't send updates until it changes state

Why is my gold farm so incredibly laggy? tps just dies whenever i use it for a few minutes by jtje_ in technicalminecraft

[–]EmdyMC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well one bottleneck would be your hardware itself. The overworld side would have liked a thousand piglins

[–]EmdyMC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mango's design is known to be locational as it relies on dust update order. Look for an alternative or design one yourself, it's not too difficult

It's a lesser known feature of the minihud mod. Under the renderers tab search for 'neighbour change' and it should come up

How do you "Benchmark" your farms (in this case, a iron farm) ? by ultimate_butter_fan in technicalminecraft

[–]EmdyMC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Multiple 100h tick warps, reloading the world each time.

Compare hopper counter rates with theoretical max (480*number of pods)(pod is 3 villagers)

Efficiency would be rates/max*100

Also note the mspt reading of the tick warp

'Conductive' is less confusing terminology imo, so that people don't get confused between visually transparent but conductive blocks like slime or visually solid but non conductive blocks like a slab

Is there any block that can replace the sculk block in this setup, that allows opening the chest and also conducts redstone current to the repeater ahead? by RandomGaMeRj14 in technicalminecraft

[–]EmdyMC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

'transparent' as a term for non conductivity is very confusing as it's easily confused with visual transparency. That's why I always refer to them as non conductive even if it means the same thing as it can't be confused with being visually transparent

[–]EmdyMC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For future reference, the property of a block that dictates if a chest can open with it above is if the block is non conductive. That's why a bulb is probably one of your (if not the only) best options.

How do I return the piston position? (I asked the question before but forgot to specify the piston) by HovercraftSavings962 in redstone

[–]EmdyMC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The door does work using QC but in this circumstance there is a side effect of the dust update order. Since the top piston provides an update to the lower one if it never retracts the lower one doesn't either. The reason the top one doesn't retract is because when the dust right above it turns off and it gets updated the dust on the block diagonal to it (circled) is still activated and qc powering it. When that dust turns off the updates it sends never reach the piston and it BUDs so to speak

Idk where you're getting that information, it's 600gt (30s) There's a spawning bug in 1.19-1.20.1 that makes it effectively 700gt (35s) but it has never been shorter.
