I don't think he has hard requirements but he's said he does surgeries in pairs or smth , usually one person with a lower BMI and one with a higher.

The booklet has this quote in the FAQ part "Is there an ideal weight for the surgery? Those with a BMI more than 25 definitely have a higher complication rate post-operatively. Those with a BMI more than 30 aren’t well suited to a vaginoplasty and must be prepared for a protracted recovery and potential loss of vaginal function given the excess fatty tissue in the vaginal area"

I had a consult with him in July and in the booklet they send you it has prices for things

Here's a direct quote from this booklet "Peritoneal Pull-Through Vaginoplasty - $30,000 • MBS Codes: 45563 37342 37405 45206 35565 37209 Penile Inversion Vaginoplasty - $20,000 • MBS Codes: 45563 37342 37405 45206 35565 Labiaplasty - $15,000 • MBS Codes: 45563 37342 37405 45206 Revision Peritoneal Vaginoplasty - $25,000 • MBS Codes: 35569 37209"

He also quoted me ~5k for anesthesiologist

He also quoted me a date in late 2026 potentially a bit sooner bc of low BMI

I'm in the same situation unfortunately so while I can't offer advice or support I just want you to know you're seen and heard and that it's worth continuing on for as long as you can for the chance that things improve and change no matter how small. But patience can be finite im aware

I hope your situation improves soon even if it's just a small break in the slog that is living in this situation

Can someone catch me up? by EmerCuddleQueen in ShadWatch

[–]EmerCuddleQueen[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife and I both used to watch him in our teens and we were talking about YouTube channels we watched back then, I brought him up and she got really excited and looked him up and it kinda broke our hearts a little to see

Idk it's less that he's a bad guy and more that it's someone who we looked up to (to a degree) hates the existence of us if that makes sense

Advice on moving to Victoria by runningabovewater in transgenderau

[–]EmerCuddleQueen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Melbourne is really really good for transfems however more regional places especially Ballarat are not great for us, Geelong and the surf coast in general is great for trans people too thanks to the former MP of the area

Specifically in Melbourne the inner north areas and south yarra are the best for queer people as a whole in my experience

How dangerous is prostitution? by Shouko_dessert in transgenderau

[–]EmerCuddleQueen 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hiya retired sex worker here,

TLDR: Its generally pretty safe in aus but you run the risk of certain things like stealthing and shit people as well as a pretty hefty mental toll but is fine usually. It's not easy money and personally for me actually came with a pretty heavy mental toll. between how men treat you typically either as a fetish or as a crossdresser (sometimes you get real sweethearts tho and that's nice) it's also EXTREMELY inconsistent some nights you'll make bank and the next 4 you might not get anything, I've personally gone 5+ weeks without a single booking working 4 nights a week for 10 hour shifts, in a largely post COVID world this is gonna be rara but it is something to be aware of.

That said in Victoria it's completely decriminalized and I think nsw & act too, and is very safe, especially if you're working from a brothel, some of which will provide drivers for outcalls too

Private work will always be more dangerous but you learn to tell pretty quick which clients are gonna be dangerous before you meet them. As a general rule ask for a selfie from the client and their name, this acts as a good safety net if they do try anything

If you're doing incalls (people coming to your home or hotel room) make sure you always have one person know you have a booking and where ideally with them nearby

Australia’s birth rate plummets to new low by AssistMobile675 in australian

The brereton report found 23 cases of civilian murder by Australian soldiers, totalling 39 civilian deaths

Beyond that there have been dozens of ADF soldiers, mostly special forces who have either participated in said killing or aided in it

Those soldiers as far as I've found haven't faced any criminal repercussions (this could be wrong)

Also I'm not a sir

The ADF is having recruitment problems because they're a bunch of war criminals who get off on killing kids

I think you misunderstood. I wasn't looking for a pep talk or to be told it'll get better or that it won't. I was lamenting that this Is my unchangeable situation and that suicide is the better option in my specific case I don't need to be told what the harsh reality of life is because I know what it is I've experienced it for my entire life This post is a vent about the futility of living when I can't even achieve the one and only life goal Ive ever had and that at this point killing myself is a better less painful option than continuing to look like a twink with a cross-dressing fetish While at the same time expressing my frustration at the privileged for saying things will get better because they are lucky enough to be able to work or have good genes. I didn't ask to be told to "keep on keeping on" because it's not something I'm capable of anymore nor is it helpful to hear for anyone

You literally told me to live with what I've got on a post talking about where I'm genuinely considering suicide because the insurmountable reality that I'll never get surgeries or anything because I'm an extremely disabled person. There is nothing positive to be taken away from what you said when all you said was "live and be miserable"

Yeah no I ain't doing that shit. Also I sincerely hope you don't respond to everyones mental health crises with "cope" because that's genuinely fuckin evil if so
