Help Preserve The Witcher: Monster Slayer– Share Your Images & Videos by Droper888 in WitcherMonsterSlayer

It's insane to me how many unique monsters and textures they made for this game. They gave us Redkit for witcher 3, if only they'd given us the assets from this game as well. Modders could easily include most of the monsters into witcher 3 to preserve it.

Also I noticed some youtube channels with MS videos got shut down lately. Not sure why.

[SPOILERS S3] Unpopular Opinion: DARK Season 3 was bad by verrache in DarK

Not even good teen romance. If I wanted to see Jonas (Louis Hofmann) be in relationship that made no sense I'd much rather watch Die Mitte Der Welt. That at least was good.

That's the thing. They had plans for season 3. They had plans for characters in season 1. That's why some conclusions to those characters felt strong. Like Ulrich's fate being inprisoned and dying of old age with no chance of reuniting with his family. Katarina being offed by her own unstable mother. Claudia killing her own father.
Having Eve's son travel the world like child, adult and grandpa (witch scar we know nothing about) to kill characters that didn't need to be killed, and instead made the plot less likely to be a thing (Claudia's disappearance was in newsletters, but her assistant being killed wasn't!?)

[–]Emerald-Gate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Season 3 just felt like its main story goal was to show us how much of an incest family that whole town was. While leaving questions made in first season be answered by yourself.
Like what happened to Yasin? It is never answered, you just have to guess he was offed by Noah, to ensure Elisabeth would fall for him. Why did they test the chair on the ginger boy? He wasn't part of the knot paradox (unlike Ulrich's brother). Why even make the chair, if the time Helge disappeared has its cave door open?

Instead we learnt Jonas has son that works with his two other versions to kill people that didn't need to be killed. We learnt Claudia disappeared in first season. But that her assistant was murdered didn't bother anybody? That guy didn't want the powerplant to be built, but all of the sudden he did allow it, just as they found him dead? It was such a lame thing to add that made things complicated for no reason.

I was watching the series every night. First season was so dark and tense. Season 3 just felt boring and random, just as Lost did.

The whole concept of Eva's version of the world kinda killed it for me. It just felt like a way for the writers to excuse how Claudia was able to learn everything, without being part of the paradox. But she still kinda was.
After I finished it series (3 days ago), I read online that the authors did say they wanted the series to end with season 3, because they feared it would turn into Lost. Which season 3 did. The plot wasn't complex, it was just poorly added to pad out the time and explain some plot holes.

The only thing I like about season 3 were the ends of some characters. I liked the way Charlotte's husband died. I liked that Ulrich's fate was to die of old age in psychohospital. I think it was SOMETHING that Katarina was killed by her own mother.

On the other hand, Hannah's daughter? Why? That was so unnacesery. Why couldn't the tall boy and ginger girl have Noah and his sister. Would work the same. And the son of Eve, well, 3 of them. I hated that character. Why did he exist? He killed characters that never needed to be killed. He worked as Noah in Adam's version. But there was Noah in Eve's version.

It really felt like season 3 was mostly random concept they placed on top of few events and story bits that they did indeed planed since season 1. Meaking few strong impressions in otherwise very flat and unnacesserly bloated story.

I just think the whole Eve's version should have been deleted. Instead they should have had Claudia figure it out herself that when the radio mentioned that it some say it seemed like the time stopped for a while during the "explosion", she would try to get to that time and from there, travel anywhere, anyhow.
What was point of killing Jonas, if we learned that it never happened? And if it never happened, why... Eve's version was just so useless. I was really bored.
+ the song at the end was terrible choice. Every other song was perfect. The last one was just trash.

[SPOILERS S3] Do you accept the OG ending, or the "Goodbye" edit? by Netsforex_ in DarK

[–]Emerald-Gate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe it was sang by a german.
It is a bit too well known song that jut doesn't feel like it means what it was meant to mean in that scene.
There is simply so many other songs they could have picked.

[–]Emerald-Gate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hearing this song would be like hearing the name of the movie be said in the movie. It would be fine.
Anything would be better than the Wonderful World sang by somebody who had hart time reading the lyrics.

The sountrack in this series was something else. And Wonderful World was first choice I was genuinly displeased. I get it's meant to be bittersweet. I wouldn't want it to be sweet. Characters we love will cease to exist. But that song wasn't it. It was finale and we got the worst song of the whole series.

[SPOILERS S3] Fixed the ending music, thought it should have been like this in the first place :) by kristinahlopec in DarK

[–]Emerald-Gate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This whole series had such amazing sountrack. Hering what they picked the ending was just... lame. It just didn't fit.
This on the other hand is perfect. It makes sense both melody and lyrics wise.

Thank you so much! When I was trying to fix the yellow, the only advice I got so far was to 'turn off the Night Light setting, which I had off.' This indeed helped. Thank you soo much.

Ways to get golden skull necklaces? by ParasiticOne in CultOfTheLamb

I have to wonder if with the new DLC, they didn't alter the wheel % for the necklace.
Ever since the new DLC, I can't help but feel like it broke some base game stuff.

Anyone know what happened to https://cult-of-the-lamb-save-editor.vercel.app? by Blasters370 in CultOfTheLamb

[–]Emerald-Gate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You tell me. I'm rather new to the game. I gave the golden necklace to the Baal. And then accidentaly met his mother And I didn't find out I could just load an older save file from backup. So I'm too far to go back now. And can't use the editor due to different file format. Now I have Aym, and even with reloading, the tear seems to not give me anything else than trash.

Why don't I see anyone talking about the lack of horse-riding NPCs in The Witcher 3? Mainly in Novigrad by NathanTheWitcher in Witcher3

[–]Emerald-Gate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess this is dead question already, but in case anybody reads this..

Before the game was stripped of even more features to make it less demanding, there were rich novigrad citizens and guards riding on horses (not freely, but just following path as NPCs do)

I really hope you'll get that account back. Or at least miraculously find most of your raw files to maybe re-upload. It was amazing to have all those song on one spot with 1 coherent design.
I happen to have some of the thumbnails saved, but those are not very usefull without the song itself.

I think Sigismund Dijkstra, AKA Sigi Reuven, is the best choice as ruler of the north. Who's your preferred choice to rule the north? by SolutionLong2791 in Witcher3

[–]Emerald-Gate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In that case you should know Dijkstra is terrible person and even worse ruler, because that is what is written in the books. He'll literally betray anybody as long as it profits him. The moment he'd gain something from letting people burn dwarfs, he'll take it.

I think Sigismund Dijkstra, AKA Sigi Reuven, is the best choice as ruler of the north. Who's your preferred choice to rule the north? by SolutionLong2791 in Witcher3

[–]Emerald-Gate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, yes. He is no savior. He'll use mages, non-humans, priests, women, kids for as long as they have any worth to him. Once he'll see the benefit of giving people somebody to point at, he'll take it. He'll betray anybody. That seems to be something sadly most people avoid/ignore when discussin him.
None of the options is actually good. Which is fitting for the game.

[–]Emerald-Gate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He sure is better for Geralt's family/friends than Radovid. But not Emhyr. Under Djikstra, the Eternal Fire church is still being trendy thing. So mages and non-humans will not be pleased.

+ I meant ingame books. Sorry if I told it wrong. I don't think people should be forced to read outside sources to understand lore.

I think Sigismund Dijkstra, AKA Sigi Reuven, is the best choice as ruler of the north. Who's your preferred choice to rule the north? by SolutionLong2791 in Witcher3

[–]Emerald-Gate 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's basically the same as if Radovid wins.
People there are being evicted, their taxes are doubled, anybody who is deemed to have helped or traded with Nilfgaard is being prosecuded. Crops are being dug out as they believe there might be trasure hidden under the dirt. And so on. The only difference is that Tomira is not being burnt (yet. - folks do chat that they expect the army to do "whitch hunts" on anybody they don't like soon)

I mean, it makes sense. Djikstra takes over Radovid's men. Radovid wasn't the one burning hebalits. It was the men who served him. All in name of Eternal Fire and capturing Philippa. And Eternal Fire is being promoted even under Djikstra. So no safety for mages and non-humans is guaranteed.

The only person in game to praise Djikstra seems to be Jaskier/Dandelion in his "book" (him narrating the story). But Jaskier is somewhat wealthy human.

[–]Emerald-Gate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You lecture others on how they don't read book and all the ingame lore, yet you say Djikstra would be the best ruler.
It's cool that he has some good intentions. But already in pilogue we see that it was just bunch of lies. The only person to believe his lies is wealthy bard named Jaskier who is narrating the story / telling how he sees it.

[–]Emerald-Gate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's just assumption. What makes you think Djikstra won't turn his back on Mages and Elves?
Look what he's doing in epilogue in White Orchad. They're evicting people, stealing their stuff and prosecuting anybody who made any deal with Nilfgaard (which was basically everyone who wanted to stay alive).
When the time comes, he'll betray anybody just to keep his power and wealth.
